On Her Daddy's Bed (Adeline and Luciano) novel Chapter 71

Author’s POV.

Tracy’s heart leapt as she saw the look on her father’s face. It was different—so different from every other look he had ever given her. It wasn’t the playful, loving gaze he usually wore, nor was it the joking, warm smile he always had for her. No, this look was stern, strict, and cold, and for a moment, Tracy felt as though something was terribly wrong.

As he took slow, deliberate steps toward her, fear quickly replaced her confusion. Her father had an expression she couldn’t quite decipher but recognized all too well: it was evil.

“I guess you’ve figured it out now?” he asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

“About what?” Tracy stammered, still trying to comprehend his words.

Her father let out a harsh laugh, a sound that made her stomach churn. “You don’t need to play dumb, Axelia…” His words echoed in her mind, over and over. Axelia? The name Axel had called her just moments ago. How could he possibly know?

“How… how did you know I bared that name, father?” she asked, her voice trembling as her eyes filled with tears.

Her father’s laugh was chilling. He seemed to find her confusion amusing.

“It’s pathetic,” he sneered. “How you lived in the same country with your brother for almost a year, visited him countless times, and never suspected a thing. It took you both so long to recognize the resemblance, so long to realize that you weren’t suffering from some disease. The drugs I gave you were designed to erase your memories, wipe your past away. And it took you forever to figure out that the only person Axel can donate blood to is his sister—or his girlfriend. It’s all so laughable.”

Tracy’s mind reeled as she tried to process his words. How could the man she had always known as her father, the man she trusted with her life, have been so cruel? Why had he done this to her? And then, the question she never thought she would ask: Why?

“Why? Why did you do all of this to me?” Her voice cracked, and she watched him grin wickedly.

“Steal?” He mocked, chuckling darkly. “I never stole you from your family. I took you from the orphanage to help my wife—because we couldn’t have children. But then, fate led me to discover you were Axel’s sister, the child of my best friend… the man I murdered, along with his wife, and then burned down their house. It was a perfect opportunity. A win for me. And I used you to bring Axel down. It was the only way.”

Tracy’s heart pounded in her chest as the truth hit her like a freight train. Her own father had orchestrated the deaths of her parents, had burned their bodies, and now, he was using her as a pawn in his twisted revenge.

“I killed your parents, Tracy. I served Axel his mother and father’s blood and ashes, all to break him. All so I could destroy him. And now… you’re going to die first. Then, I’ll deal with him.”

Tracy’s heart skipped a beat, her breath catching in her throat. The man she had called her father, the man she had trusted her entire life, had committed unspeakable acts of violence and cruelty. She could barely process it all.

“You… You killed your best friend?” she asked, her eyes wide in disbelief. Her words seemed to hang in the air, as if she couldn’t quite understand them.

Her father groaned in response. “They deserved to die.” His voice was thick with rage. “They took everything from me—everything! Power, influence… And worst of all, they gave birth to the perfect children. How could I let that slide? Axel, with his intelligence and ambition, stealing everything I had worked for. He stole the files I killed for, and now he’s the one who’s going to pay.”

Her mind was spinning. Her father was not the man she thought he was. He was a monster, a murderer with a twisted obsession.
