Inara exhaled softly. "Enjin is one of the rare few with a summon that can bend reality, creating a domain that suits it. Once that domain is created, I doubt Isshin would stand a chance. The defense of their tortoise is also nearly impenetrable, it countered Isshin’s katana in the past."
"It was time Arian proposed the fight. The cohort must have placed Enjin in the same league with him. It’s high time we all see and know the truth. Who’s stronger," Orion stated calmly.
Arian’s Oni Ronin, Isshin, slowly unsheathed his katana. The moment he did, the air became restless, like a hurricane was nearby. His hakama fluttered, as did his waist-length gray hair.
Enjin’s tortoise took a step, and the battlefield began to transform into a swamp with twisted trees. Isshin swiftly leaped to one of the tree branches, vanishing before the branch could entwine itself around his feet.
Everything in the swamp domain would act against Enjin’s foes. Mid-air, Isshin swung the katana at a speed the eyes couldn’t follow before slowly sheathing it as he descended onto a black tree branch, but it didn’t attack him this time.
Inara’s eyes widened at the clean cut that had gone through the great wall of the arena just behind the tortoise.
"Y-You’re not a Throne Tier..." Enjin spat blood as his mountain of a tortoise split into two clean halves.
"Saint Tier," Dax said softly, yet his supposed calm voice couldn’t conceal his awe.
Arden watched Enjin collapse like a leaf and crossed her arms. "Captain showed no mercy this time around."
Arian walked out from the safe spot in the battlefield, speaking as he walked. "If they had been handing over those that would cause greater issues, Paradise might not have survived for this long! Know this, we’re all fugitives! Wanted by the outside world. Trust is what keeps us! Break it, and Paradise falls."
His voice rang loud.

At night, Godfrey sat on the edge of the bed, gently tucking his mother in. She chuckled. "Since when did you become this mature?"
"I’m eighteen," he replied, leaning close to peck her forehead. Rising to his feet, Godfrey went toward White, who lay beside the window, and caressed the stag’s head.
It gently closed its eyes, and Godfrey smiled warmly. He turned to his mother, who was still looking at him for the last time, before pursing his lips.
Valentina giggled. "Go to your room, young man."
"I’m going, I’m going!" Godfrey waved his hand and shut the door.
Outside, Mountain stood there.
Overload stressed the bond between summoner and summon, so Ballista was temporarily retrieved into the soul space to recuperate.
Godfrey went straight to Victoria’s room and knocked.
"It’s open," Victoria said.
The moment Godfrey stepped in, he found her doing press-ups in her nightwear. She continued her exercise but frowned when it was over two minutes and Godfrey had not said a word.
"What?!" Victoria snapped.
"It’s been months. I was admiring your workout," he replied, walking over to the desk and handing her a water bottle. As Victoria chugged it down, Godfrey sat on the bed.
"You’re like someone I knew."
Victoria looked at him from the corner of her eye. "You mean Isolde."
"Yes," Godfrey replied as Victoria sat beside him and crossed one leg over the other. "If she’s as you told me, your lovely princess should be thinking about you in a comfortable bed. You’re probably in her dreams."
Godfrey scoffed.
