Chapter 31 The Paper Engagernent
Julian replied with a sticker.
“Black kitten, message received.jpg”
Orion looked down at it.

A faint smile slipped into his eyes before he could stop it.
At almost the same time, Caleb Hayes laid several surveillance photos on his desk.
The Omega in them was elegant and blond, with ice-blue eyes and the kind of face that made half the empire’s Alphas lose their minds.
Helen Rockefeller.
The empire’s only S-class Omega.
The strongest psychic healer alive.
And on paper, Orion’s Omega fiancé.
Only on paper.
Helen was not alone in the photos. Beside him stood a tall, graceful Alpha whose polished bearing matched his title.
Prince Harold Mulholland, the empire’s eldest prince.
“General…”
Caleb stared at the two figures in the photos, silently grateful that Orion had never had a real relationship with Helen.
Orion pushed the photos aside without changing expression.
“That proves nothing. Keep watching them.”
[Did anyone else watch yesterday’s video? Mitchell was vile. Talia was clearly begging him for help ]
[Please. Talia and her brother were not innocent either. What they splashed on Julian was probably Omega pheromone fluid.]

“Serves you right for spraying Alpha cologne all night instead of sleeping.

Noah Wells, the chubby kid, laughed at him without mercy. He had gotten up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and seen Julian spraying Alpha pheromone cologne all over his bed.

He could not exactly explain that he had been unable to smell the Alpha who had marked him, and that the lack of those pheromones had kept him miserable and sleepless.
“Fine, fine. New topic.”
Noah caught the warning in Julian’s face and changed direction at once.
“Inside news. Mitchell and Cole are both out. Cole just loses his place at the Imperial Military Academy. Mitchell is probably getting shipped to a fringe colony.”
The military had not only recovered footage from the assessment recorder. They had also found older videos of Mitchell bullying Betas.
Cole had watched and done nothing.
So he was being punished too.
“Good.”
Julian finished the bun.
He did not mention the message Cole had sent him last night.
Thanks.
Sorry.
Goodbye.
Julian had not replied.
Never meeting again sounded clean enough.
Besides, he had saved Cole only because Cole had happened to be there. It had cost him almost nothing “Hurry up. Our advisor is announcing the assessment scores today. If we’re late, we’re getting roasted.” Noah pulled Julian past classroom after classroom and grumbled as they walked.
“Our advisor is just peuty. He hates Class F. Every sentence out of his mouth is, Look at Class A and then it’s, “You’re stupid, lazy, and hopeless-
Noah’s rant died mid-sentence.

Chapter 31 The Paper Engagement
Julian was still wondering why when a familiar voice carne from ahead.
“At that volume, your former advisor would have heard every word
“Ms. Moore!”
Noah brightened instantly.
While Julian had been missing, Noah had followed Anne Moore around more than once to help search for him. He liked this Beta teacher. She looked strict, but she actually cared.
