Chapter 34 The Omegas Loved Feeding Him

The logic was sound

Anne followed it smoothly.

“As Julian said, mecha engineers are not only here to build machines. In wartime, we follow pilots onto the battlefield and repair damaged mechas on-site

Her eyes moved across the classroom.

“When danger comes, I don’t want you becoming burdens because you’re too fragile. I don’t want you dying because you had no way to save yourselves.”

The classroom went quiet.

Then one student spoke up.

“Ms. Moore is right.”

“I think so too. I want to hold my own against insectoids like Julian.”

“I don’t need to be Julian. He barely counts as a Beta anymore. I just want to run when I have to.”

“Same, honestly.”

Anne looked at them with relief and confirmed Class F’s new physical training course.

That morning became collective torture for the entire Class F of Mecha Engineering.

Including Julian, who had been talking bravely not long before.

“Ha. Still talking big? Legs done? Can’t run? Hehehe…”

Noah wheezed as he laughed at Julian, whose knees were soft and whose head was spinning

Julian said nothing.

After becoming an Omega, he had discovered his stamina was even worse than when he first arrived.

Part of it was an Omega’s naturally weaker constitution.

Part of it was his current developmental state. His body demanded more energy than it had.

And part of it was his own stubbornness. He had not taken in enough Alpha pheromones yesterday.

Fortunately, Anne knew how to start gradually.

By lunchtime, the students of Class F were allowed to stagger toward the cafeteria with arms around one

another’s shoulders.

“Is that Julian?”

“Where?”

“I see him! He’s so pretty!

A small wave of excited whispers reached them.

Julian looked over and saw a group of cadets in white-and-gold uniforms gathered nearby, their eyes bright as they stared at him.

They were nothing like the rougher military students around them. They were polished and delicate, m and female alike, as if they belonged to a completely different visual layer.

“Omegas.”

Noah grabbed Julian’s forearm and shook it, more excited than Julian himself.

Omegas were the empire’s crown jewels. Their white-and-gold uniforms were also the brightest sight on

campus.

And Omegas admired strength by instinct.

After Julian’s performance, many Omegas in his year clearly had a good impression of him.

“Julian, try this.”

One Omega stepped forward and gave him a bag of cookies. Another handed him a small cake. They were class assignments from the Omegas’ usual courses.

Omega students did not only learn psychic healing.

They also had craft classes, cooking classes, floral arrangement, and similar lessons.

Julian had no idea what practical use any of that had, but most Omegas seemed happy doing it.

These Omegas were not exactly romantically interested in him. Their attitude was closer to feeding a cute little animal.

That made refusal difficult.

With Noah and the others making a scene beside him, Julian even exchanged contact information with a few of them. They said that someday, they hoped to team up with a reliable Beta like him.

Of course, not every Omega was cute.

Some were cold.

Some were arrogant.

While Julian was adding contacts, he caught sight of someone familiar

Elias Whitmore.

Unlike before, when Elias would walk over to provoke him the moment they met, today Elias was surrounded by several high-ranking Omegas. He passed by without giving Julian a glance.

Then he seemed to sense Julian looking.
