Chapter 129: Plan B
ELLIE
When Ethan finally set me down at the end of the short trail, I was
utterly enchanted by the little stone cottage standing before us.
Like a secluded paradise nestled in nature, the place seemed almost
magical.
“Okay… I never would have imagined there was a place like this here,”
I said, noticing the chimney on the roof.
I couldn’t tell if it was just the mist or if there was actually smoke
coming out of it.
“I’m glad you do.” He kissed my shoulder, standing behind me. “Now
let’s get inside before we freeze,” he said before walking past me
toward the entrance, carrying the bag in one hand.
“You could’ve at least let me carry that while you were carrying me,” I commented, following him. “I mean, you don’t have to try so hard.” I teased, stopping behind him and watching as he pulled a key from his
pocket to unlock the door.

“Maybe you should worry about eating a little more,” he shot back,
looking at me after opening the door for me. “One hundred and thirty
pounds, tops. That’s what you and this bag weigh together.”
I frowned, trying to understand the point of his comment.
“Are you saying I’m too skinny?” I shrugged before stepping inside.
“I’ll take that as a compliment.”
“If you really want to see me lifting actual weight, you can join me at
the gym when we get back home,” he suggested arrogantly, shutting
the door behind him.
But I was too busy looking around to bother rolling my eyes.
Mesmerized by the cozy charm created by the combination of stone
walls, wooden furniture, and the fireplace in the corner, the space was
both a bedroom and a living room, with a small area that seemed to
serve as a kitchen.
“I could definitely live here,” I concluded after taki
ng in more details
of the space, like the enormous, seemingly comfortable bed and the
armchair next to the fireplace.
Setting the bag on the armchair, Ethan crouched in front of the
fireplace to my right, grabbing a few logs from a basket and placing
them inside.

Approaching the bed, I sat on the edge, watching him light the fire.
Though I understood why my body was reacting this way, I couldn’t
resist my instincts. And like any human woman, seeing him perform
such a simple yet undeniably masculine task somehow made him
even hotter, chasing away any lingering drowsiness from my body.
“Better?” he asked, straightening up after finishing.
I nodded, watching the small flames start to flicker in the fireplace.
“Are you hungry? Or do you still want to go back to sleep?” He moved
closer, stopping in front of me.
“Why? Are you going to cook for me?” I teased, my lips curving into a
smirk.
“Actually…” He spread my legs apart, stepping between them. “I have a better idea.” Gripping my thighs, he locked them around his waist,
lifting me.
“Do you? What is it?” I wrapped my arms around his neck, my gaze flicking between his tempting lips and his brown eyes, which made
me want to tear my clothes off.
Carrying me to the small kitchen area, he set me down on the narrow
wooden counter–almost too small to hold my ass.

“I’m going to finish what you didn’t let me do last night,” he
whispered, grabbing the hem of the oversized sweatshirt I was
wearing and pulling it over my head.
“Didn’t let you, or were you just too drunk, Mr. Quickie?” I teased,
reaching for his jacket to do the same, but he stopped me, gripping
my hands.
“Fuck…” He gave me a crooked smile, which quickly disappeared. “I’m
not proud of coming so fast, but it felt fucking amazing…” His voice came out rough, thick with desire. “It’s already hard enough resisting
these hands without alcohol,” he continued, kissing my fingers before
focusing on the zipper of my jeans and pulling it down.
Swallowing hard, I felt the heat of arousal start to pulse inside me,
spreading over my skin.
“And now you’re going to do the same to me with your mouth?” I
teased, almost breathless, my control over my breathing slipping
away as he pulled my jeans down my legs.
“Go ahead, you can come fast, baby, but that doesn’t mean I’m
stopping,” he whispered, his words sending another wave of heat
through me, making my core pulse even harder.
Impatient, I locked my legs around his waist, pulling him closer and
