Piss Off, Alpha! You Lost Me Forever novel Chapter 208

Chapter 208: Chapter 208 Victory Almost

The hospital corridors were filled with tension. Nurses moved quickly from one ward to another quickly.

Outside Ashley’s ward, the atmosphere was even heavier.

Heidi rushed down the hallway. Her wolf was restless inside her, reacting strongly to the fear in her heart. Even though she was in human form, her senses were heightened, and she could already smell the scent of illness and distress from a distance. Her heart pounded harder as she moved.

She grabbed the arm of a passing nurse.

“Where is Ashley Stone? What happened to her?” she demanded.

The nurse looked startled but quickly composed herself.

“She has been moved to emergency care,” she said. “Her condition worsened suddenly.”

Heidi’s face drained of color. “Emergency?”

“Yes,” the nurse replied. “Please wait here. The doctors are doing everything they can.”

But Heidi couldn’t stay still. Without another word, she pulled out her phone and dialed Damien’s number immediately.

The call connected quickly.

“Damien,” she said the moment he picked up. “Ashley is in emergency care. Her condition got worse.”

“What did you say?” Damien’s voice came through.

“She’s in emergency,” Heidi repeated . “You need to come now.”

“I’m on my way,” Damien said.

At that moment, somewhere across the city, Damien stood up abruptly from his seat in the middle of a meeting. The room fell silent immediately as his aura shifted. His Alpha presence filled the space without warning, making even the strongest wolves look at the ground.

“End this meeting,” he said coldly.

No one dared to argue.

“Yes, Alpha,” one of the pack elders said quickly.

Damien didn’t wait for anything else. He turned and walked out immediately.

The moment he stepped outside, his eyes flashed with a golden glow.

Ashley was even worse now.

His jaw tightened.

He got into his car and drove off without hesitation. His grip was tight on the steering wheel. His mind was already racing. Every part of him was focused on reaching the hospital as quickly as possible.

Back at the hospital, Heidi paced back and forth outside the emergency room. Her wolf wouldn’t calm down. She could feel the tension building inside her with every passing second.

“Why isn’t anyone telling me anything?” she muttered.

A nurse approached her.

“Please try to stay calm,” she said gently.

“How can I stay calm?” Heidi snapped “That is my niece in there!”

The nurse took a step back, sensing the shift in her aura. She didn’t respond further.

Then finally, the emergency room doors opened.

A doctor stepped out, removing his gloves. His expression was serious but not as tense as before.

Heidi rushed forward immediately.

“How is she? Is she okay?” she asked urgently.

The doctor nodded “She is out of danger for now,”

Heidi let out a breath she didn’t realize she had been holding.

“But her condition was critical,” the doctor continued. “The fever spiked dangerously. If she had arrived any later, it could have been worse.”

Heidi’s relief turned into anger almost instantly.

“How did this even happen?” she demanded.

Before the doctor could respond, a powerful presence suddenly filled the hallway.

Everyone froze.
