THIRD PERSON’S POV
Sophia sat up against the bed. She could feel her strength slowly returning, but her body still felt heavy, like she hadn’t fully come back to herself yet.
Zade stood by the window for a moment, watching her without saying anything. His wolf was calm on the surface, but inside, it was alert, focused entirely on the woman sitting in front of him. He turned slowly and walked toward her.
“Sophia,” he said.
She looked up at him.
“What is it?” she asked quietly.
He stopped beside the bed and looked at her.
“I don’t want to wait anymore,” he said.
Her brows furrowed in confusion “Wait for what?”
“For you to understand how serious I am,” he replied.
The words echoed in Sophia’s head.
Sophia’s heart tightened slightly, but she didn’t speak. She simply looked at him, waiting. She didn’t know what to say.
Zade took a slow breath, then spoke again. “You are the only woman I want.”
Her eyes widened slightly. She was caught off guard by how straightforward he was.
“I’m not saying this lightly,” he continued. “I’ve thought about it. I’ve already decided.”
Sophia’s fingers tightened against the blanket.
“Zade...” she started, but he didn’t let her finish.
“I told my mother about you,” he cut in.
The room seemed to grow quieter. Sophia couldn’t believe what she just heard.
“You did what?” she asked. Her voice was filled with disbelief.
“I told her everything,” he replied calmly. “Who you are, what you’ve been through, what you mean to me.”
Sophia stared at him in total shock. She was stunned to her core.
“Why would you do that?” she asked.
“Because I’m not playing games,” he said. “And I don’t hide the person I choose.”
His words were firm and genuine. They left no room for doubt.
“I don’t care about your past,” he continued. “I don’t care about Damien. I don’t care what anyone else thinks.”
Her chest tightened at the mention of Damien, but she stayed silent.
“I only care about you,” Zade said.
The intensity in his voice made it hard to look away. She felt hear heart race even faster.
“I will not marry anyone else,” he added. “If it’s not you, then it’s no one.”
Sophia’s breath caught slightly.
“You’re saying too much,” she said softly.
“I’m saying exactly what I mean,”
There was a long pause.
Sophia looked down. Her mind was racing fast. Her thoughts were in chaos. Her heart wasn’t calm, and her mind was even worse.
Everything felt too sudden, too overwhelming, and yet... she could not deny the sincerity in his words.
“You don’t even know what you’re asking for,” she said finally.
“I do,” he replied without hesitation.
“No,” she shook her head. “You don’t.”
Zade leaned a little closer. “Then tell me. Tell me what makes you think I don’t.”
Sophia didn’t answer, because she didn’t know where to begin.
Where would she even start?
The silence between them stretched, but it wasn’t empty. It was filled with everything they were both feeling.

Meanwhile, in another part of the hospital, the atmosphere was completely different.
Damien stood outside Ashley’s ward. His expression was dark and cold. His presence alone made the nurses nearby tense. Their movements became even more careful.
He had been there for hours, waiting, watching. Still, Sophia hadn’t come.
His phone was in his hand. The screen was dark now after so many unanswered calls. His wolf was restless, pacing inside him.
“Where is she?” he muttered under his breath.
Ashley slept quietly inside the room. Her condition was stable for now, but Damien’s focus was no longer just on her. His thoughts kept circling back to Sophia, to her silence, to her absence.
“She saw the messages,” he said to himself.
His jaw tightened.
“And she chose to ignore them.”
The thought made something inside him snap.
A nurse approached him cautiously.
“Sir, you should get some rest,” she said gently.
Damien didn’t even look at her.
“I’m fine,” he said coldly.
The nurse hesitated, then quickly left.
Time passed slowly.
Eventually, Damien let out a deep breath and turned away from the ward.
