Please Me Daddy (Gracie) novel Chapter 185

The babymaking process

Grace

We didn’t even make it to the door.

Apollo’s hand slid firmly around my waist, his other palm cupping the side of my face as he kissed me deeply, like he had nowhere else to be and no intention of stopping.

The kiss stole the air from my lungs, my thoughts dissolving as I melted into him. I wrapped my arms around his neck without hesitation, kissing him back just as fiercely, my fingers tangling in his hair as if letting go would be impossible. He moved forward while holding me, walking us toward the door as though I weighed nothing at all, and I followed instinctively, lost in the warmth.

When we reached the steps, my leg bumped into one, and I almost lost my balance, but Apollo reacted instantly. His grip tightened around my waist as he lifted me effortlessly, not letting me fall even for a second. My legs instinctively wrapped around his waist, my body pressed fully against his, and he didn’t pause or pull away.

I didn’t even care what had almost happened. Falling was the last thing on my mind. All I could feel was him, his hands, his lips, the way he held me as if I belonged there.

I felt something solid behind me, and the next moment the door opened with the soft sound of his fingerprint unlocking it. We stepped inside without breaking the kiss, the world beyond us fading into nothing.

The lights stayed off. Apollo was already turning, clearly intending to carry me straight to the bedroom, when a sharp sound echoed through the room, something falling to the floor.

I froze instantly.

My eyes flew open, and I pulled back just enough to breathe, my heart pounding wildly. Apollo, however, didn’t look confused. He looked annoyed. His gaze shifted past me, fixed on something behind my shoulder, his expression darkening slightly.

What is it?I asked, breathless, raising an eyebrow when he didn’t answer.

Still in his arms, I reached out and flicked on the light.

The moment I turned around, my heart dropped straight into

A

tomach.

Standing in the middle of the living room, smiling far too knowingly, was Adam, Apollo’s father. Beside him stood a beautiful woman, her expression caught somewhere between surprise and amusement as she took in the scene in front of her.

Oh my God,I muttered, my eyes widening in horror.

They stared at us for a moment before the woman laughed softly, her smile bright as she tilted her head. Oh my goodness, she said. What am I seeing, uncle? Is that my cousinwith a woman?

Her words snapped me out of my shock.

I immediately tried to pull away, shifting as if to get down from Apollo’s arms, my face burning with embarrassment. But he didn’t let me go. Instead, his grip tightened, one hand firm at my waist, the other on my ass, holding me just as securely, as if getting down wasn’t even an option.

I looked at him in confusion, my heart racing.

What was he doing? Couldn’t he see his father and cousin standing right there?

Apollo, you I started.

He looked at me once, and it was enough.

That single glance told me everything.

Stay still.

My mouth snapped shut immediately. My face felt like it was on fire as I lowered my gaze, unable to look at anyone in the room. My heart thudded painfully in my chest.

This was mortifying.

And somehow, with his arms still wrapped around me, holding me steady, it felt even more intense. To make it worse, I had no idea what Adam was thinking, only that he probably saw me as disgusting for being with his son like this.

Just as I was spiraling in my head, Adam suddenly burst out laughing.

Hahahaha! His loud, pleased laughter echoed through the room.

I flinched at the sound and instinctively looked up at him, my heart jumping. Adam had a wide, satisfied grin on his face, his eyes shining as if he had just witnessed something long overdue. Instead of anger or shock, he looked delighted.

Ah,he said, sounding almost emotional, now I feel like I can finally die a happy man.

I stared at him, completely confused. What was he talking about? Before I could open my mouth to ask, he turned to the woman beside him, his tone light and amused.

It seems we came at the wrong time,he said cheerfully. “We shouldn’t disturb the babymaking process.

My brain shortcircuited.

What did he just say?

Bbaby making?I muttered faintly, my face heating up all over again.

To my horror, the woman seemed to understand exactly what he meant. She smiled knowingly, nodding as if this was the most natural conclusion in the world.

I see,she replied smoothly. How unruly of us. It is an important process, after all.

I wanted the ground to swallow me whole.

She looped her arm through Adam’s as if this were a perfectly normal family visit and continued, Let’s go, uncle. It seems my cousin doesn’t need us tonight. After all, he’s looking at us like he wants to get rid of us and return to someone far more important.

Adam nodded enthusiastically. Yes, yes, let’s go.

They began walking toward the door, and when Adam passed us, he suddenly stopped. He leaned in just enough that only I could hear him.

Thank you, Grace,he said softly. You have no idea what you’ve done for this old man.

Before I could respond, or even process that sentence, he straightened and continued walking away.

I watched their backs in stunned silence. The woman paused briefly, turned her head, and winked at me when

our eyes met.

My stomach flipped. I bit my lip, mortified beyond words.

God. This was worse than realizing Adam was Apollo’s father. Much worse. The same man had just caught me kissing his son like I had completely lost all sense of restraint.

The door finally closed behind them, leaving the room quiet.

I exhaled shakily and turned toward Apollo, my mouth already opening to say something to ease the embarrassment. But before I could speak, Apollo moved. He walked straight into the bedroom without

hesitation, carrying me with him as if the interruption had never happened. He sat down and settled me firmly on his lap, his hands already sliding back to my waist as he leaned in again.

My heart raced.

I quickly placed a hand against his chest, stopping him just before his lips met mine. Wwait,I said, breathless. Are you sure? Shouldn’t you go after them?

The moment the words left my mouth, I realized how ridiculous they sounded.

Apollo’s eyes darkened instantly, his gaze dropping to my lips before returning to my eyes. There was only hunger, and possession in his gaze. In that look alone, I understood everything.

Apollo Reed was far past the point of caring about anyone else.

Right now, the only thing that mattered to him was me. 1
