Bonus chapter
Grace
Before either of us could say anything else, Apollo’s father suddenly cleared his throat loudly, clearly enjoying the moment far
too much.
His voice rang through the hall, cheerful and excited.
“Today, we are all gathered here for the wedding of Apollo Reed and Grace Jones,” he announced proudly. “Two beautiful souls who are about to join together as one. Before we begin…if anyone here knows of any reason why these two should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace.”
I slowly turned my head and looked around the hall after Apollo’s father asked the question, my eyes moving across the faces of the guests one after another as I quietly waited to see if anyone would actually say something.
For a brief moment, the entire room felt unusually silent. But instead of shocked expressions or hesitation, every single person I looked at was smiling warmly.
Some guests looked emotional, as if they had been waiting for this moment for a long time, while others were whispering quietly to the person beside them with expressions full of admiration and happiness.
No one stood up, or spoke. And after several long seconds passed without a single objection, Apollo’s father slowly nodded his head with visible satisfaction.
“Good. Good,” he said loudly, clearly pleased with the silence in the room. “Because if any of you had actually said something just now, I might have personally made sure you would forever hold your peace.”
The guests immediately burst into laughter at his words. However, when I looked at his face more carefully, I realized that he did not look like he was joking, which somehow made the moment even more amusing.
Once the laughter in the room slowly settled down, Apollo’s father straightened his posture and turned his full attention toward
“Alright then,” he said warmly as he smiled at me. “Grace, my dear.” His voice softened in a fatherly way as he continued speaking. “Will you take Apollo Reed as your lawfully wedded husband, to stand beside him in every moment of your life and share every joy and hardship together?”
I turned my head slightly and looked at Apollo. His hazel eyes were steady and unwavering, and the hand holding mine felt strong and possessive, as if he was silently declaring to the entire world that I already belonged to him.
The warmth of his fingers around mine made my heart calm immediately.
I did not need to think about the answer at all.
“I do,”
Apollo’s father’s smile widened even more when he heard my answer, and he quickly turned toward his son.
“And Apollo, will you-”
“I do.”
Apollo did not even allow him to finish the question before answering. His voice was calm, deep, and completely certain, and the words left his mouth so quickly that it made several guests laugh in surprise.
Apollo’s father chuckled loudly as he shook his head in amusement, clearly entertained by his son’s impatience.
“Alright, alright,” he said with a grin. “I suppose that answers that.”
My cheeks immediately warmed with embarrassment as I glanced at Apollo. The eagerness in his voice made it very clear that

he had absolutely no intention of wasting another second before marrying me.
Apollo’s father then raised his hand slightly to calm the room again before continuing with the ceremony.
“Very well,” he said. “Since both of you are clearly in agreement, we will now move to the vows.”
He gestured toward us with a gentle smile.“You may now read your vows to each other.”
I slowly turned my attention back to Apollo, and for a moment the world around us seemed to fade into the background again.
I took a quiet breath before speaking.
“I had prepared so many things to say,” I began, my fingers tightening slightly around his hand. “I even thought about writing everything down on paper because I was worried that I might forget something important when the moment finally came. But then I realized that writing it down would probably be impossible.”
I looked directly into his eyes as I continued. “Because with every single minute I spend with you, I fall in love with you all over again, and somehow I always find new things I want to say.”
“Apollo Reed, the first time I met you, my entire life was already a complete mess. You were terrifying, and I wanted nothing more than to stay as far away from you as possible, because I simply could not understand you. And people tend to avoid the things they cannot understand, but somehow, you gave me warmth that I never even realized I needed.“.
“For most of my life, I always believed that I was just a background character in someone else’s story, someone whose only role was to fill empty space while the important people lived their lives. No one really noticed me, except for my friends. But you were the first person who ever truly saw me.”
My voice trembled slightly as I spoke the next words.
“You noticed me when nobody else did.”
“You believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself.”
“You brought out the good parts of me that I didn’t even know existed. And you protected me in ways that I will never be able to repay.”
“Apollo, you gave me a future when I thought my life had already ended.”
For a moment, my eyes lingered on his face before I spoke again.
“Never in my entire life did I think I would be standing here like this, beside a man who truly loves me, and a man that I truly love with my whole heart. I know that I’m not perfect, but I promise that no matter what happens, I will always stand beside you and even death itself will never be able to separate me from you.”
“I love you so much, Apollo, and I will continue loving you until my very last breath.”
The entire hall fell into complete silence after I finished speaking my vows, and it felt as though every single person in the room had unconsciously held their breath at the same time, unwilling to make even the smallest sound that might disturb the moment unfolding between us.
Every pair of eyes in the hall slowly shifted toward Apollo, waiting for him to respond, yet at the same time no one seemed bold enough to rush him.
For a long second, he simply stood there looking at me, then something happened that almost no one present had ever witnessed before.
Apollo smiled.
It was not the faint smirk people occasionally saw when he was amused, it was a real smile. A wide, genuine smile that softened his usually cold features and made his hazel eyes glow with a warmth so deep that it sent a wave of whispers through the crowd

Several guests looked stunned, as if they could not believe they were seeing such an expression on the face of the powerful and untouchable Apollo Reed. But he did not seem to care about anyone else in the room.
His gaze remained completely fixed on me.
“Many people claim that the earth is a circle,” he said slowly, “while others argue endlessly about whether that is true or not, but for most of my life, I truly believed that my world was a circle.”
“Every day felt exactly like the one before it, every hour felt endlessly long, and nothing in my life ever seemed to change no matter how much time passed. I accepted that reality without question, because I believed that nothing in this world had the power to change it until you came along and changed everything.”
My heart skipped in my chest. Apollo’s voice lowered slightly, as if the rest of the world had disappeared.
“After you appeared in my life, every single day began to feel different from the last, and every moment I spent with you made me curious about what tomorrow would bring. For the first time in my life, I found myself actually looking forward to the future.”
“You taught me many things that I never believed I was capable of learning. You taught me patience when I had none. You taught me love when I thought I did not need it. You taught me forgiveness and kindness, things I never once imagined I would find within myself. And that was when I realized something important, the world does not have to remain a circle forever.”
His thumb brushed lightly over my hand.
“With the right person beside you, the world can become anything you want it to be.”
“Princess,” he said quietly. “I never believed in fate before I met you, but after meeting you, I realized something. If I had to go through everything I experienced in my life again just to find you once more, I would do it without hesitation. If I had to walk through hell itself in order to love you again, then I would gladly burn. And if there is anything in this world that I must endure to spend the rest of my life by your side, then I will face it without fear, because without you, I am nothing more than a hollow shell.”
“I love you, Grace, and I will continue loving you for the rest of my life.”
I could not control the emotions rising inside me anymore. Before I even realized what was happening, a tear slipped down my cheek.
Apollo’s father cleared his throat softly beside us, though his voice sounded slightly hoarse as if he was struggling to keep his own emotions in check.
“You may now exchange the rings,” he said gently.
Eleanor stepped forward at that moment, carrying a small velvet box that held our wedding rings.
Her eyes were already red, and tears continued slipping down her cheeks as she sniffed quietly, clearly unable to stop crying. Apollo took the diamond ring from the box and gently slid it onto my finger, his touch careful.
My hands trembled slightly as I picked up his ring and slid it onto his finger in return. Apollo’s father smiled warmly as he looked at both of us.
“You may now-”
Once again, Apollo did not wait for him to finish speaking. Before anyone could react, he leaned forward, wrapped one arm around my waist, and kissed me deeply.
