Jackson looked at Victoria, his tone gentle yet unwavering as he promised, “Don’t worry, everyone. I’ll be taking charge of the Thornton family very soon.”
“That’s right. We all have faith that you’ll remain the heir of the Thornton family. And as Victoria’s fiancé and future husband, you’ll surely give her your all and do your utmost to keep her safe,” Daisy said.
Daisy held Jackson in high regard and trusted his abilities completely.
Honestly, before Jackson lost the use of his legs, any young lady would have considered herself lucky to marry him.
After all, Jackson was outstanding in every way.
Daisy remembered Victoria saying she could really cure Jackson’s legs. That was even better.
Calvin had already decided to hand over the entire Binder family to Victoria. With Jackson’s support, if the Clark family tried to go against Victoria, they’d be digging their own graves, just like what happened to Darell’s family.
Daisy turned to her five sons. “Victoria, these are your five uncles. Once you take over the Binder family, if you ever have any questions about running the company, just ask them for advice.
“They might not be as impressive as Jackson, but they’ve been around the block. Five heads are better than one, you know.”
The five middle–aged men straightened up, each secretly thinking they’d better work harder on their management skills. No way were they going to let themselves look bad in front of someone as talented as Victoria.
Victoria glanced at her five uncles, seeing them all looking like they were gearing up for battle. She couldn’t help but laugh. “Alright, I hope I won’t be too much trouble for you all.”
The five middle–aged men all chimed in at once. “No trouble at all. If you have any questions, just come to us!”
“Honestly, you should come to me first. I’m the oldest, and I’ve got the most experience.” Benny, the eldest uncle puffed out his chest proudly.
The other four men gaped at him, wide–eyed. ‘Seriously? Betrayal! One of us has turned traitor!’
“You’re really saying that? Your experience is so outdated! I’m the most in touch with the times. Victoria, if you ever run into trouble, just come to me, your youngest uncle!” Jonah, the youngest uncle stepped forward.
The other three uncles thought, ‘Man, both of them are totally shameless!‘
‘Oh, please. I took care of our sister better than anyone, I’ve got the most experience. You two, step aside,” Douglas, the second uncle said. “Victoria, don’t mind them. If you need help, I’m the one to rely on.”
The third uncle, Tanner, wasn’t about to be outdone. “Hey, who’s shameless now? Back then, our little sister was always glued to me!”
Fandy, the fourth uncle, cleared his throat and said with a straight face, “Come on, you four are grown men. Aren’t you worried Victoria will laugh at you acting like this?”
The other four uncles were speechless and thinking about smacking him.
Daisy sighed. “Alright, you’ve got a point. As Victoria’s uncles, aren’t you all embarrassed acting like a bunch of kids?”
The four men immediately stopped and went back to looking all serious and proper.

Victoria felt so warm inside. Even after she’d offended the Clarks, the Fisher family weren’t afraid of getting involved. Instead, they were ready to have her back.
Watching this happy scene unfold in front of him, Jackson couldn’t help but reflect on his own situation. His life had been completely turned upside down in less than two months.
He used to experience moments like this with his father, Donald, and his brothers, Sibley and Cassian.
But he never realized that all that warmth was nothing but a lie. Hidden behind it was a knife waiting to strike him down.
Thankfully, Jackson had Victoria by his side now.
Jackson could already picture how rare and wonderful life would be once he married her.
After Daisy finished introducing her family, she turned to Leon who had come back with Victoria. “Master Leon, thank you so much for your help today.”
He waved it off. “No need to thank me. As Victoria’s mentor, it’s only right for me to protect my own student. But you two…
“I heard about Victoria coming back to Benwig City to claim her place in the Binder family. You’re not her real parents, but you treat her like your own. Because of that, you even pissed off Darell and almost got hurt.”
Daisy smiled. “You’re Victoria’s teacher, and as they say, a teacher for a day, a father for life. You should understand how we feel. Even though Victoria isn’t our biological daughter, from the moment we accepted her into our family, she’s been ours for life.”
Leon sighed. “Victoria has parents she can truly trust. That puts my mind at ease.” Then, with a hint of reluctance, he added, “Victoria, since everything here is settled, I should head back. My lady is waiting for me at home.”
Jackson also gave Victoria a gentle smile. “Vickie, I’m heading back to the office now.”
‘Wait, Jack.” Victoria grabbed his arm. “I need to take Master Leon home today and won’t be back until tomorrow, so I’ll give you your treatment now.”
Jackson nodded. “Alright.”
Then, Leon waved his hand. “Victoria, you don’t have to send me off. Just stay here with your grandparents and enjoy your ime together.”
‘Master Leon, we’re right here in Benwig City, so we get to see Victoria anytime. But you live way out in the mountains, and t’s not easy for us to meet up. Let Victoria give you a ride back,” Daisy said. \
He didn’t argue. Truth be told, Leon actually wanted to chat with Victoria a bit more.
Victoria smiled. “Alright, Master Leon, why don’t you take a break for now? Once I finish Jack’s treatment and we’ve had unch, I’ll drive you home.”
Sure,” he agreed.
Victoria asked Ollie to give Jackson a piggyback ride to her room so she could start his treatment.
As Victoria, Jackson, and Ollie went upstairs, Leon felt moved. “Mr. and Mrs. Binder, thank you for loving Victoria. She has plenty of relatives, but what she truly needs is her parents‘ love.”
Hearing this, Daisy and Hector exchanged a glance, then asked warmly, “Master Leon, could you tell us more about Victoria?

Leon nodded. “Six years ago, my wife went up into the mountains to help me find some new poison bugs, but she ended up getting bitten by a snake. We managed to detox her, but she was left with lingering effects.
“To fully clear out the remaining toxins, I caged up the three snakes and took my wife from doctor to doctor. Eventually, we heard about a famous healer in Mullinran Village, so I brought my wife to Victoria.
“I never expected a fourteen–year–old girl to be so skilled, she used just a few silver needles and completely got rid of the poison in my wife’s body. She didn’t even ask for any payment, just wanted the three snakes I’d caught.
“I learned that Victoria had been dealing with poison bugs and snakes since she was little, but she couldn’t fully control them. To thank her, I offered to stick around and teach her how to really handle those creatures.
“During those six years, I often heard Victoria muttering to those poison bugs and snakes like she was talking to old friends.”
