ne at the event was eager to see Viara.
Hearing that, the livestream chat exploded, everyone spamming demands to see Viara. The representatives from more than twenty entertainment companies at the venue all echoed the same sentiment, saying they’d wait for Viara to appear before making their official offers.
“Just make your offer.” Nathan from Gale Entertainment said. He wasn’t leaving without the rights to Chasing the Dream
He didn’t give a damn who the original author was or whether they showed up.
Justin immediately nodded. “Yes, Mr. Clark.”
He shot his secretary a look.
His secretary spoke up immediately, her voice ringing out across the room. “Gale Entertainment is offering a minimum guarantee of 50 million dollars, plus 15% of the global box office for the rights to Chasing the Dream. On top of that, they’re committing to develop a mobile game and an animated series alongside it.”
The whole room erupted in an uproar.
“How are we supposed to compete with that? They just dropped 50 million dollars like it’s nothing!”
“Looks like this trip was a waste.”
The representatives from the other entertainment companies looked conflicted.
In truth, very few of them could match Gale Entertainment’s deep pockets.
They’d planned to tell Viara they’d make every dollar count–tighten the script and win her over with real production quality.
But with that kind of money on the table, what author would choose words over a massive payday?
When Tracy heard Gale Entertainment’s offer, she was practically spinning in circles with anxiety. ’50 million dollars? There’s no way Brightstar Entertainment can match that!‘
Back when Simon was still in charge. Marty from the business department could only scrape together seven million dollars
at best.
But now, with Mr. Binder nowhere to be found. Tracy was left feeling helpless and frustrated, unable to do a thing.
Marty gave Tracy a smug look and pressed, “So. Tracy, what’s Brightstar Entertainment offering? Don’t tell me it’s just seven million dollars.”
“Your new boss won’t even show his face and just sent you out here pretending you’re something you’re not. Since we used to work together, let me give you some advice–don’t embarrass yourself. Pack it up and get out while you still can
Tracy looked embarrassed, not knowing how to respond.
Yvonne clenched her fists and stood up with determination. “Honestly. I think I’m a much better fit for the temale lead m Chasing the Dream than Lexi. Viara is an incredibly talented writer. And beyond making more money. I’m sure what she really wants is for her work to be brought to life in the best possible way and presented perfectly to the audience

Chapter 243
[Damn, this woman actually has a vibe pretty similar to Bianca!)Bianca
[But 50 million dollars? Who could possibly say no to that kind of cash?]
(Even Viara, the legendary author, wouldn’t be able to resist!]
[No suspense here–Gale Entertainment’s totally snagging the rights to Chasing the Dream.]
[Man, this is lame. Nobody here can even put up a decent fight!]
Just when Tracy thought all hope was lost, her phone suddenly rang.
Seeing Victoria’s name on the screen, she answered in a panic, “Ms. Binder, you must have seen what’s happening. Things are really bad right now…”
Victoria cut her off. “I know. Don’t worry. Just offer 70 million dollars, same terms as Gale Entertainment.”
“What?” Tracy blinked, completely stunned. She repeated, “35 million? Ms. Binder, are you serious right now?”
“I’m dead serious. Just do it. No questions,” Victoria said, her tone leaving no room for argument. Then she hung up.
Tracy lowered her phone, looked around at the other twenty–four entertainment company reps, hesitated for a moment, then threw caution to the wind.
She raised her hand, her voice barely steady as she announced, “Brightstar Entertainment offers 70 million dollars–same terms as Gale Entertainment.”
The whole room erupted in an uproar again.
70 million dollars?
That’s a whole 15 million more than Gale Entertainment’s offer!
The crowd was in disbelief.
Marty stood up, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “What a joke, Tracy. Does Brightstar Entertainment even have that kind of money? Or is your new boss just sending you out here to talk big and make empty promises?”
Marty’s blunt challenge left Tracy momentarily speechless. But Yvonne, standing nearby, shot back without hesitation. “Only small–minded people look down on others.”
“You…” Marty started, his face flushing with anger.
But before he could say another word, Nathan cut him off with a cold, commanding tone. “Sit down.”
Marty shivered and immediately sat down, not daring to say another word.
Justin gave Nathan a desperate look. “Mr. Clark, if Brightstar Entertainment really offers 70 million dollars, what do we do?
That whole rumor about Gale Entertainment dropping 100 million dollars for the rights to Chasing the Dream was just a marketing ploy. Justin never meant to spend that kind of money for real.
This time, even the 20 million bid was only on the table because Nathan said he’d cover half Otherwise, hed only be willing to spend up to 25 million dollars at most to close the deal.
“Go straight to 100 million dollars,” Nathan said coldly. “The Clark family will cover the difference

Chapter 233
With Nathan’s promise, Justin finally breathed a sigh of relief. “Alright.”

Her secretary got the message and announced, “Gale Entertainment raises the bid to 100 million dollars. All other terms remain the same.”
The other entertainment companies gave up any fight and slumped back in their seats. At this point, it was clear–they were just here to make up the numbers, nothing more.
Dropping 100 million dollars on a single novel? None of them were that reckless.
Some smaller entertainment companies came hoping they might get lucky and snag a bargain.
One of them had bought the rights to a sci–fi novel for about 10 million dollars a few years earlier. Then, out of nowhere, the book won a major international award and became a sensation in the local market.
The company made a killing!
But with Gale Entertainment dropping 100 million dollars, all hopes of scoring a bargain were dashed for the smaller companies.
‘100 million dollars… There’s really no hope now,” Tracy muttered. She had completely lost confidence.
But Yvonne said, “I believe in Ms. Binder.”
Just then, Victoria’s crisp voice rang out from the second floor. “Brightstar Entertainment bids 150 million dollars.”
This time, not just Justin and Marty, but even Nathan’s expression darkened. He hesitated.
Hearing that figure, he had no choice but to reconsider seriously. ‘Is Victoria just trying to bait me into making a fool of myself?”
Victoria’s playful voice echoed from the second floor. “What’s the matter, Mr. Clark? Giving up already? If that’s all you’ve got, you really had the nerve to talk about going after Brightstar Entertainment? No wonder you’ll always come in second to my fiancé.”
Nathan’s forehead veins popped as he snapped, “Gale Entertainment bids 200 million dollars!”
This is insane!‘
The authors watching the livestream were practically red with envy. ‘Man, who wouldn’t dream of writing a novel that sells for this kind of money and never having to worry about bills again?‘
[Has inflation really gotten this bad?]
[Nah, the rich and the rest of us live in completely different worlds. 200 million dollars to them is probably like eight grand to me–just pocket change!]
Nathan looked up at Victoria by the second–floor railing and challenged coldly, “If you’re so tough, why not keep bidding
But Victoria just smirked, shrugged, and said, “Nah, I’m done.”
Justin breathed a sigh of relief. Still uneasy that things might go wrong, he turned to Beatrice on stage and said. “Alright. bring Viara out now so we can sign the rights deal with Gale Entertainment!”
Many people began to think Viara was incredibly lucky to walk away with 200 million dollars without even breaking a sweat all because Nathan wanted to go after Victoria.
