Outside Lexi who had been eavesdropping, quickly turned and headed toward the elevator, not wanting to get caught
When she reached the elevator, even though the doors were already open. Lexi didn’t rush in She waited until Nathanis assistant came out of the office and walked past her, then she finally stepped inside.
As the elevator doors closed, Lexi took the initiative to speak. “You know, I only know you as Nathan’s assistant, but I don even know your name
Nathan’s assistant was caught off guard by her sudden question. After a brief pause, he replied hesitantly, “Just call me Hey. Ms. Lowe
Hey Is that your last name?” Lexi asked with a smile.
Hey was momentarily dazed by her beautiful smile, then shook his head. “No, my real name isn’t that great. Nathan used to just call me ‘Hey‘ to get my attention, and after a while, it kind of stuck as ‘Hey.”
Now that Lexi was sure Nathan’s assistant had a soft spot for her, she smiled and said, “So that’s how it is.”
After a brief pause, she feigned curiosity and asked, “Hey, who’s Mrs. Tooth?”
Hey froze, his expression turning stern. “Lexi, were you eavesdropping outside the office again?”
So he really does care about my safety.
That warning last time wasn’t just a coincidence.
Maybe I really can get some info out of him.‘ She thought.
Lexi hurried to explain, “I wasn’t eavesdropping–I was just waiting for you outside, Hey. I wanted to ask if Nathan’s been eating properly, and I just happened to overhear a bit.”
Hey’s face grew more serious as he warned, “Lexi, you really shouldn’t do stuff like this anymore. Even if you’re just worried about Nathan, it’s dangerous.”
Lexi looked a little hurt. “Okay, honestly, I just wanted to know if Nathan would give away the food I made for him again. You saw it last time–he handed it off to that guy, Zachary.”
Hey looked conflicted, not sure how to respond.
Lexi caught every little change in his expression. ‘He must feel so sorry for me right now–pouring my heart out for Nathan and still not getting any love back, she thought.
Guys like him, secretly crushing on their boss’s fiancée, always end up thinking they’re some kind of hopeless romantic
The more he feels sorry for me, the easier it’ll be to get him to spill the beans, she thought.
“So who is this Mrs. Tooth, anyway? Is she Nathan’s new fling?” Lexi’s voice was already choked with tears. “I thought getting rid of Angelica would be enough, but who knew he’d just go find another woman…”
“It’s not like that,” Hey blurted out.

Lex was on the verge of tears. Then what is it Who is this Mrs Tooth, really Nathan gets all excited talking to her on the phone but with me hus hancee he’s just so cold
Hey looked continted
When the elevator reached the first floor, he said. Just stop asking, okay? The less you know the better
With that he held back his emotions and stepped out of the elevator first
Lexi watched Hey’s back as he walked away, dropping her act.
Tooks like it I want to get anything out of him, I’ll have to make him feel even more sorry for me, she thought
After caving the sanatorium, Jackson dropped Victoria off at Brightstar Entertainment.
Before getting out of the car, Victoria said, “Now that we’ve got a lead on your brother, I’ll do everything I can to help you find him. Hopefully, we can track him down before our wedding–I really want him to be there for you on your big day”
Jackson looked at her and said, “No, Vickie. I want to find him before your birthday party and bring him along to celebrate with us.”
Victoria smiled. “That would be even better.”
She waved. “Bye! Let’s video chat tonight.”
“Yeah, let’s talk tonight,” Jackson replied.
After watching Victoria walk into Brightstar Entertainment, Jackson turned to Ollie. “Ollie, I want you to use the Tooth Lady lead and find my brother within two weeks. You have access to any Thornton family resources you need, including the Twenty–Four bodyguards I’ve got hidden nearby. Can you pull it off?”
Ollie replied with determination, “I can.”
Jackson didn’t say much more. “Alright, I trust you.”
With that, he closed his eyes, his brow slightly furrowed, lost in thought.
Not long after Victoria returned to her office at Brightstar Entertainment, Mara called.
“Boss, there really is a big shot backing Ashley. I’ve already sent you the info on that person,” Mara said.
“Alright,” Jackson replied.
She set aside her work, opened the file Mara had sent, and started going through Ashley’s background.
The info Mara dug up was pretty much the same as what Brian had told her.
It looked like all those rumors about Brian online were nothing but lies spread by that big shot.
Ashley was forced to dump Brian back then.
And Brian never cheated on her with his assistant.
Right now, this so–called big shot had already taken a life.
And for all Victoria knew, who knows how many more people he’s hurt or worse–that she didn’t even know about.

Victorta closed the file and called Frank Frank, I’ve decided to cast Brian as the male lead in Chasing the Dream
Frank was clearly thrilled “Great I really think Brian is the perfect choice. Now that you’ve agreed, let’s lock him in
After hanging up Victoria leaned back in her office chair, feeling relaxed.
Now all she had to do was wait for Gale Entertainment to walk right into the trap–picking the male lead she’d set up for them only to end up with a show that could never be released, no matter how hard they worked.
Meanwhile, at Gale Entertainment, Justin got a call from Nathan himself, asking who they’d picked for the male lead in their upcoming drama, Rising to the Top.
“We haven’t decided yet. We’re thinking of choosing between Larry and Stephen,” Justin replied.
“What does your daughter think?” Nathan asked.
Justin was caught off guard for a second, then answered, “She’s rooting for Stephen.”
Justin couldn’t help but wonder if Nathan was calling just to back Lexi up. Feeling a bit uneasy, he asked, “Are you telling me to go with Lexi’s choice and make Stephen the lead for Gale Entertainment’s new drama?”
No. I’m just reminding you to do your due diligence. Don’t end up picking an actor who’ll make your new drama never see the light of day,” Nathan said.
Justin quickly replied, “I get it. My son’s already digging into both of their backgrounds. There’s no way Rising to the Top is going to blow up in our faces because of some scandal!”
If it does blow up, Gale Entertainment will crash and burn right along with it,” Nathan warned, then hung up.
just then. Justin’s illegitimate son, Timothy, walked into the office and shared what he’d found on Larry and Stephen with his Father.
Dad, see? I told you–we can’t pick Stephen. Back in school, he bullied other students and even got sent to a juvenile letention center. After his debut, he assaulted a director. Sure, he paid off to hush it up, but people in the industry still avoid
im like the plague,” Hugo said.
But Larry is a whole different story. He’s got a stellar reputation–always courteous and professional on set, never late, never wastes anyone’s time, and most importantly, he’s never been involved in any gossip or scandals with actresses,” Hugo added.
