Darell watched the video on his phone. Julia was on her knees, eating scraps the dog had already picked over and drinking leftover swill.

He felt sorry for her at first, but soon, her miserable state made him feel disgusted.

He’d hesitated for a moment about sacrificing his wife. It wasn’t because Simon was such a disappointment.

What really pushed him over the edge was how the Vaughn family treated them when they moved in, rubbing salt in the wound, being downright nasty.

‘How much more can I take?‘ Darell thought. ‘I won’t stay down forever.’

Once Darell took back control of the Binder family, he’d make sure to crush the Vaughn family and make them pay for every slight and foolish thing they’d ever done to him.

Victoria nodded calmly. “Yeah, that’s to be expected.”

Tracy asked tentatively, “Ms. Binder, should we hire some bots to boost your numbers? That way, your stats will look a lot better. Right now, people online are already doubting you.”

Victoria shrugged it off. “No need to waste any extra budget hyping up my new song.

“Stick to the original promo plan. When my song overtakes Curtis’s, that’s when the real drama will hit.”

Tracy nodded, feeling more reassured by Victoria’s confidence. “Alright.”

Back in the main office, when Tracy returned, her coworkers gathered around, curious. “Tracy, have you heard Victoria’s new song? Do you think she can beat Curtis?”

Tracy shook her head. “Nope, I haven’t. Victoria and those mysterious employees she brought in did the whole recording themselves.

“So, I honestly have no clue how good her three new songs are.”

“Wait, even you don’t know?” someone exclaimed.

Someone else cut in, “If her new song is as good as that one she improvised at the welcome party, there’s nothing to worry about.

A girl chimed in, “But what if that was marketing hype? Maybe that song wasn’t improvised at all. It could’ve been planned to overshadow her rival.”

Another colleague nodded. “Yeah, that’s exactly what I’m worried about. Right now, everyone online is watching to see whose new song will come out on top, Victoria’s or Curtis’s.”

Another voice sounded, “If her new song turns out to be lame, she’s gonna get dragged by everyone online.”

Tracy waved her hand, sounding confident as she reassured them. “It’s fine, guys. We have to trust Ms. Binder’s talent.

“I’m counting on Brightstar Entertainment getting more and more successful so that I can earn a big bonus.”

The others didn’t say anything more after that. Anyway, Victoria’s new song would be released soon, and they would find out then.
