On the other end. Curtis was holed up in his room, struggling to come up with the perfect X post. He kept typing, deleting, and retyping, but nothing felt right.
Back when Leslie was his manager, she handled all his X posts. He never had to worry about this stuff. But now. he had to make sure every word was right.
He agonized over it until 11 PM, and finally decided on the wording for his post. To make you see me, I’m going to stand at the very top of the global music
He didn’t bother with scheduling. After one last glance, he just hit send. It didn’t take long for his X post to blow up with comments from fans.
[Curtis, you’re totally gonna make it to the top of the global music. You don’t need her to see you; we’ll always be here for you.]
[Curtis, she’s not worthy. Stop wasting your time on her.]
[Yeah, seeing you pour your heart out for her and get nothing in return really breaks our hearts.]
[Curtis, if you want a little sister, we’re all willing.]
[Curtis!]
[Curtis!]
[Curtis!]
Of course, Viara’s fans had their own take.
[LOL, what has Curtis even done? Is he just all talk and no action?]
[Honestly, with so many people wanting to be Curtis’s sister, claim one from the comments and stop bothering our Viara, the legend.]
The internet was torn apart, with fans splitting into factions and arguing nonstop. And real life was just as chaotic; everyone was caught up in the drama, too.
To embarrass Victoria in Benwig City, Nathan purposely reserved the big screen at Midnight Blue’s entrance to display the live voting results for Victoria and Curtis’s new song face–off.
The results were obvious; Curtis was crushing it in the polls, his votes miles ahead. At spots like Minus One Bar, bookies were taking live bets on whose new song would win the head–to–head between Victoria and Curtis.
Because everyone believed Victoria would lose, the odds for betting on her to win were very high.
“I’m betting on Victoria to win.”
“I’m betting on Victoria.”
The two voices rang out simultaneously in the bar. Both turned to look at each other, surprised. Turns out, it was Annie and
Gavin.
Annie shot Gavin a look and grumbled to her friends, “Ugh, it’s that guy again, like a piece of gum on my shoe.”

Chapter 112
Gavin shot back, “You again, Annie? Don’t think pulling this will make me notice you I’m telling you, it’s useless Victoria’s the only woman 1 care about”
1..” Annie raised her fist, wanting to punch him. Seriously, how can someone be this narcissistic? she thought
Her bestes quickly stopped her “Hold it in, Annie, hold it in.”
Gavin ignored Annic, pulled out his card, and slapped it down on the table. “300 thousand dollars on Victoria to win.
Just then, another voice called out from the crowd. “What are you even betting with? Do you have any money in your account? And you’re talking about betting 300 thousand dollars?”
As soon as the words were spoken, Sophie walked over, waved, and had the bodyguards escort her idiot brother away.
Everyone’s eyes locked onto Sophie’s face, and they were all blown away. ‘Wow, total goddess vibes, they sighed in awe.
“Let me go. Sophie! Why must you always meddle in my business?” Gavin shouted, clearly annoyed.
This time, Sophie was obviously pissed. She slapped him hard across the face and snapped, “If I don’t keep you in line, you’ll just keep embarrassing the Fairbank family and wasting all the money Dad busted his ass to earn!”
The slap completely dazed Gavin. Ever since he had been brought back to the Fairbank family, his sister had always been blunt with him, but had never actually hit him before.
“Go home and think about what you’ve done! If you dare mess up Victoria’s birthday party tomorrow, you’re done being the Fairbank family’s heir. I’m dead serious this time!” Sophie snapped.
“Sophie, stop threatening me. Dad won’t take your side; he still feels guilty about me!” Gavin shot back.
“Try and see. Let’s find out if Dad listens to me!” Sophie retorted.
After dragging her dumb brother away, Sophie walked over to Annie. “Annie, thanks for the heads–up. If it weren’t for you. my brain–dead brother would’ve just given away the Fairbank family’s shares for nothing.”
“No worries. Victoria wouldn’t care about your family’s shares anyway. I just wanted you to get Gavin off her back.” Annie said, finally feeling relieved now that Sophie was here.
Sophie replied, “Don’t worry. He won’t crash Victoria’s birthday party tomorrow. He’s not stupid enough to give up the Fairbank family’s fortune just for her.”
“Actually… wouldn’t it be better for you if Gavin just gave it up?” Annie couldn’t help but ask.
Sophie gave her a pointed look and said, “Not every wealthy family is like the Thorntons or the Binders, tearing each other apart over inheritance.” With that, she adjusted her red scarf and strode off in her black high–heeled boots.
Annie’s besties couldn’t help but gossip in surprise, “Seriously, how did Sophie, with such an elegant and noble aura, end up with a useless, hopeless idiot for a younger brother?”
Annie chimed in, “And the idiot doesn’t even realize how lucky he is.”
She had even thought about how nice it would be if the Thornton siblings could get along harmoniously. Then Jackson wouldn’t be crippled, and she and the other siblings might be able to return to the days when they were all children, playing together as they once did.
Snapping out of it, Annie turned and called out, “I’m betting 70 thousand dollars on Victoria to win.”

Chapter 347
As soon as midnight hit, Victoria’s phone started blowing up with birthday wishes from almost everyone in her contacts. It was like everyone had set their alarms, more pun tual than New Year’s Eve countdowns
The very first message was from Jackson Vickie, happy birthday!] Following that were Daisy, Stephan, Yorine, and Nerom.
Victoria, happy birthday! Not sure if you’re still up, so your dad and I didn’t want to call and disturb you. Just wanted to send you a quick text to wish you a happy birthday.]
[Victoria, happy birthday!]
Then came messages from Annie, Lexi, Yvonne, and Tracy.
[Victoria, happy birthday!]
[Ms. Binder, happy birthday!]
[Ms. Binder, happy birthday!]
Gavin texted her, too.
Ever since Annie came clean that he hadn’t actually been talking to her all along, Gavin hadn’t messaged using this number. This was the first time he had ever sent her a birthday message.
[Victoria. happy birthday. And just so you know, I’ve always had feelings for you, and that hasn’t changed. But I’m sorry; I can’t make it to your birthday party tomorrow.]
‘Honestly, that’s probably for the best, Victoria thought to herself.
Of course, Curtis and Simon sent their birthday wishes, too.
[Vickie, happy birthday. This is the first time I’ve ever wished you a happy birthday. Sorry I wasn’t there for you in the past, and thanks for giving me another chance to celebrate with you.]
[Happy birthday, Vickie! I was really surprised and happy when you said today that I could come to your birthday party.]
After reading all those birthday messages, Victoria felt a bit emotional. This was the first time so many people had reached out to wish her happy birthday.
Back in the village, all her uncles and aunts were always nearby, and everyone would gather for a big family party. Honestly, Victoria mostly just wanted to pick up some new skills from them.
Meanwhile, Victoria’s new track and Curtis’s both just dropped on the music platforms, right as the clock struck midnight.
