“Okay, okay.. Thank you. Ms. Binder.” The voice on the other end of the phone was clearly excited. Of course, as the original 600 thousand dollars, already a windfall, was now doubled.
“Once you get the drug, just hand it over to my mom,” Victoria said.
“Get it, the other party replied.
After hanging up. Victoria sneered. She actually plans to poison the guests. Angelica really is at her wits end, trying anything she can. Victoria thought.
This birthday party this time was different from the previous welcome party. The guests invited to the previous welcome party were all from the major elite families in Benwig City, people of all kinds.
But this time, the birthday party guests were all her close friends and relatives. Even if there really were issues with the food, they wouldn’t bring themselves to blame her.
Moreover, Stephan and the others were top–notch doctors with excellent diagnostic skills. They would surely know if there was anything unusual in the food.
What an idiot! Victoria thought. I might as well take this opportunity to let Angelica suffer the consequences of her own actions once again.
Victoria dialed Daisy’s number. After a moment, the call connected, and a gentle voice came through. “Victoria, what’s up?” “Mom, the kitchen manager will pass something to you later. It’s something important. Please keep it for me.”
“Okay.” Daisy said.
After hanging up, Victoria couldn’t help but sneer.
After hanging up, a trace of mockery appeared in Victoria’s eyes. Once she got the drug, she would have those sneaky helpers slip it into Nathan and his pack of lackeys.
She was also curious to know what exactly the drug was used for. ‘Is it really just meant to cause stomach discomfort?‘ she wondered.

At the Binder family’s Goldenwood Villa, after hanging up the call with Victoria, Daisy put on a pair of disposable gloves again and continued making the birthday cake, following her own design bit by bit.
‘Not only the clothes, but even the birthday cake would be one of a kind in this world, she thought.
Yorine, who was helping wash the fruits in the kitchen, came out and said, “The fruits we brought are way tastier than anything you can buy at the market. Using them to decorate the cake is really the icing on the cake.”
Daisy said, smiling, “Absolutely! Some of these fruits aren’t even available in Benwig City. Great that you guys brought them. My cake is going to be even more unique.”
Yorine set the washed fruit down on the counter, glanced at the tablet, and couldn’t help but sigh. “You’re really so thoughtful. I’ve seen plenty of people personally make cakes for the birthday girl, but designing the cake yourself was a
whole new level.”
Daisy, her head lowered, focused on spreading the cream. “I’ve always wanted a daughter, so ever since Victoria called me

Yorine said, “I have a daughter too, so I understand how you feel, but I could never do what you do. I devoted most of my life to my work. If I had the chance to do it all over again, I’d still choose this path, but it’s my daughter who ended up paying the price.”
Does your daughter support your career?” Daisy paused, glancing at Yorine, the woman who led her team in achieving a medical miracle.
“Yes she really does, especially after I won that award and made the news. She called and told me how proud she was, but also said she felt like she’d let me down because she couldn’t carry on my legacy, Yorine said with a bittersweet smile.
“But honestly, I’ve never pressured her to follow my footsteps. All I ever want is for her to live a simple, happy life,” she added.
Daisy said. “Love is a two–way street, and the same goes for family. Your daughter supports you, and you never force her. That’s good enough.”
Yorine smiled. “Yeah, you’re right. You can’t be greedy.”
Seeing the cake take shape in Daisy’s hands, Yorine added, “I think this year’s birthday is going to be the happiest one Victoria’s had in her twenty–two years.”
Daisy smiled gently, her eyes full of hope. “I hope so, too, but I want her to be even happier every year from now on.”

At the Thornton Group, Jackson was monitoring the real–time stock market trends for major companies when his phone rang. It was Stephen calling.
Whenever this brother of his called him, it was never to catch up; there was always something. Jackson answered, “What’s up?”
Stephen said, “Gary’d like to know if you could arrange a job for him at the Thornton Group. Nathan’s already found out my identity, so it isn’t safe for Gary to work out there anymore. But he can’t just sit around doing nothing; he’s not the type to stay idle.”
Jackson’s eyes darkened slightly, but his tone stayed calm. “Sure, the Thornton family estate is looking for a gardener. If Gary doesn’t mind, he can take that job.”
“No problem,” Stephen replied.
“Then tell him to do a health checkup first. If everything’s good, he can officially start the job,” Jackson said.
“Alright, let’s leave it at that for now.” Stephen didn’t say another word, and Jackson just replied with a “Mm.”
After hanging up, Jackson smiled helplessly. ‘Gary’s trying to get close to Grandpa for a shot at revenge. Landing a job with the Thornton family is actually a pretty clever move,’ he thought.
Just as he was lost in thought, there was a knock at the office door, followed by Ollie’s voice. “Mr. Thornton, Ms. Binder is here.”
“Come in. Jackson responded. The door slowly opened, and Victoria walked in, carrying a medical kit. Her steps were light and graceful, her figure elegant, like a butterfly fluttering in dance.
Seeing this, Jackson quickly wheeled forward to greet her, a faint smile appearing on his face as he said, “Vickie, congratulations.

“I just checked the stock market today, and Brightstar Entertainment’s share price rose a full fifteen points this morning. Judging from the trend, they should continue rising for a while.”
Victoria walked over to the sofa, set down her medical kit, and sat down with a bright smile. “Yeah, but this is just the beginning. My real goal is to make Brightstar Entertainment the biggest entertainment company in all of Benwig City”
For Victoria’s ambition and determination, Jackson smiled in approval and said, “I believe you can definitely do it.”
Victoria’s lips curled into a confident smile. “Even if you don’t believe in me, I’ll still achieve it.”
Jackson explained, “That’s true, Vickie. Making it happen is all your own skill, and my faith in you is just my attitude.”
“Jack. you always say the things I love to hear,” Victoria said, lowering her head to open the lunchbox Jackson had prepared. “Let’s see what you packed for me today.”
It was the usual three dishes. One beef dish, one stir–fried vegetable, and one mushroom dish. Victoria let out a playful “yo” and grinned. “Wow, you even got the super popular blue–staining bolete!”
Jackson handed her the fork with a smile. “Yeah, it’s a dish that’s been very popular lately. The fresh blue–staining bolete was specially flown in from the south. The other two dishes are yak beef and a local specialty green vegetable called ‘water poppy.”
Victoria picked up the fork. “Let me see if eating it will make me see little fairies!”
