Victoria eyed her, deep in thought. ‘Seriously, what could Angelica be doing in a maternity store?” she wondered

Annie guessed, “No freaking way! Is she pregnant? My bestie told me Angelica’s been seeing Zachary lately.

Based on what Victoria knew about Angelica, she was far too proud to be interested in someone like Zachary, even if they were dating, she would never want to have his child.

‘If Angelica really was pregnant, I’d be way more likely to believe the baby was Nathan’s, not Zachary’s, Victoria mused.

While Victoria was still deep in thought, Angelica walked out of the maternity store. Apparently, she was just window shopping, not actually buying any baby stuff.

As she stepped outside, Angelica spotted Victoria. She froze for a second, her hand instinctively going to her stomach. But then she realized she was making it obvious, so she quickly dropped her hand.

“Angelica, are you pregnant? Is it Zachary’s?” Annie blurted out.

Angelica ignored Annie, shooting daggers at Victoria, her eyes full of rage. Annie kept going, “Zachary’s already gone abroad. Don’t tell me he’s just trying to dodge responsibility for your baby?”

Angelica finally turned to Annie. “Annie, you’re a Thornton family heiress. Why are you acting like Victoria’s lapdog?”

Angelica’s face darkened. Annie was right. Back when she was engaged to Jackson, nobody from the Thornton family ever bothered to be friendly with her.

She couldn’t make sense of it; despite being the top beauty and a recognized genius in Benwig City, the Thornton family consistently treated her as if she were invisible.

Victoria smirked. “Angelica, I’ve always wondered, weren’t you always sticking with your dad? So how come you’re suddenly teaming up with Nathan? Where’s your dad now?”

Angelica’s already pale face suddenly went even whiter, a look of fear flashing across her face. Wait… does Victoria actual know the secret about Greenville Talent Academy? Angelica thought, panic rising inside her.

Victoria glanced down at Angelica’s stomach. “So what, you slept with Nathan that night when you were drugged, got pregnant, and now you think having his baby will get you to marry into the Clark family?”

Annie, standing off to the side, was totally floored. “Wait, so Angelica’s pregnant with Nathan’s kid, not Zachary’s?”

Angelica steadied herself, not even bothering to hide the fact that she was pregnant. “So what if I am? Victoria, I haven’t lost yet. Just wait, when I finally marry Nathan, I’ll help him send you straight to hell!”

Victoria smirked, her tone dripping with disdain. “Do you know why you haven’t lost yet?”

Angelica shot Victoria a vicious glare, her eyes nearly overflowing with hatred.

But Victoria didn’t flinch. She continued, “It’s not because you still have a shot; it’s just that I haven’t had time to deal with you yet. Look at yourself. You’ve become the very person you used to hate. Don’t you feel sick every time you look in the mirror?”

Victoria’s words stabbed at Angelica like a blade. She forced herself to swallow her anger and humiliation, clenching her fists so tightly her nails nearly broke the skin. Through gritted teeth, she spat, “Just wait and see, let’s see who wins in the end!”

With that, she spun around and stormed off in the other direction. After Angelica left, Annie was at a loss for words as she watched her go. “Victoria, is Angelica really pregnant with Nathan’s kid?”

Victoria nodded. “I was just guessing before, but now that Angelica admitted it herself, it’s basically a done deal.”

Annie’s face twisted in disgust. “No wonder Lexi ditched Nathan. That guy is seriously gross!”

Victoria agreed, “Yeah, just thinking about someone like Nathan makes me sick. Anyway, let’s not talk about it anymore. Let’s head back.”

“Yeah!” Annie nodded. They turned together and headed for the elevator.

After dropping Annie off, Victoria headed straight back to the Binder family. After a quick nap, she grabbed some gifts and headed out to Mimiburg.

Just before stepping into the private room, Victoria felt a tiny bit of nervousness creeping in. She took a deep breath, then pushed the door open.

The conversation inside came to an abrupt halt, and every pair of eyes turned to her. For a moment. Victoria was the absolute center of attention. Even someone as worldly and composed as her couldn’t help but feel a little awkward with all those people staring

Still, none of the men looked threatening or made her feel uneasy. If anything, their gazes were filled with cunosiry genuine friendliness. For the first time, it really felt like she was officially meeting her boyfriend’s family

Victoria snapped out of it and let Jackson lead her inside. The guy closest to the door got up and closed it behind them. After Victoria took her seat, Jackson put his hand gently on her shoulder and, with a proud smile, announced, “Everyone, this is my fiancée, Victoria Binder. I think you all already know her.”
