Chapter 385
I wanted to do something new tonight, try something we didn’t always do. Lightly I pushed at his shoulder lightly.
Breaking our kiss, he raised his brow as he looked down at me in question.
“I want to ride you,” I said. Then I blushed again, even deeper, at the boldness of it.
Without a word, Damien grabbed me around the waist and hoisted me, switching our positions in a flash so that I was over him, looking down.
I was nervous, but the position sparked a sharp desire in me, which I saw reflected in the depths of Damien’s
eyes.
He kept his hands on my hips as I lined his hard dick to my entrance. Then, slowly, I lowered myself down.
He growled with desire, and I gasped and moaned.
When I was fully seated, I started to ride. Our hands found each other’s, clutching, holding, never letting go.
I threw my head back, grinding down onto him. Before long, he was bucking up into me.
I tried to hold on as long as I could, but it all felt so good, I couldn’t hold on…
“Damien!” I cried as I came.
He gripped my hips again, thrusting up into me hard and fast, and found his climax soon after.
Then we both collapsed, me falling onto his chest.
His arms wrapped around me, and I’d never been so in love.
Ian’s POV
I couldn’t believe how much I was being disrespected by my own pack. Was I or was I not influential in this pack? My family had been held in a highly respected position for generations. But now, with all this subterfuge, I felt like I had been personally insulted.
Perhaps it was a personal insult. What else could it be?
Not only had I been deceived about Amelia’s – or was it Annette’s – true identity, but as a final slap in the face, I hadn’t even been invited to the party that she was holding in celebration of her return to being pack Luna and for the alliance of the packs.
Wasn’t my family entitled to the curtesy of an invite?
“This is the second hand you’ve thrown, Ian,” said one of the opponents at the card table.
We were at the club for our usual poker night. The people here, my friends, were also of high society and respected and affluent families. They were here with me, spending time with me. They could see the value of a connection with me, even if Alpha Jake couldn’t.
Surely they could understand my plight?

Yet I was too embarrassed to tell them the truth, knowing they would judge me if they knew I had fallen out of the Alpha’s favor. After all, I would do the same to them.
“My head isn’t in the game tonight,” I admitted as I folded my cards, readying for a new hand.
“You aren’t getting sick are you?” asked another. “Is that why you missed the banquet the other night?”
“A fine party. A shame that it ended as it did. Though I heard the child is doing fine.”
“Nasty business, poisoning. It seemed as if someone purposefully wanted to ruin Luna Amelia’s debut banquet.”
Luna Amelia.
