Amelia’s POV
I was in heaven. Maybe this was a dream, maybe it wasn’t, but in this moment, with Damien thrusting inside of me, making me feel alive again after a dormant few days of feeling undead, all I could think about was him.
I clawed at his back before his hands found mine. Lacing our fingers together, he pressed the backs of my palms down onto the pillow at either side of my head.
His pace never slowed, only hastened.
Never once, did he look away from my eyes.
Faster and deeper, he pushed inside of me. Not wanting him to be alone in this, I bucked my hips when I could, pressing up to meet him, whining whenever he pulled away.
He was big, filling me to the brim each and every time. Gods, it felt so unbelievably good. Each and every time was a new burst of pleasure. Fireworks went off behind my eyes.
I couldn’t get enough, even after already reaching my climax twice. He seemed to know just what I needed. Using his Alpha stamina, he didn’t let up. Pushing me over the edge again and again. I tried to hold on, sensing I might white out this time.
I didn’t want this to end. I didn’t want to pass out, only to wake and find this was a dream.
His thrusts started to stutter. He was nearing his endpoint too.
This was it.
One final buck, one deep thrust.
I had to hold on!
I couldn’t.
“Damien!” I cried out as the intense pleasure washed my mind away on a white current.
He growled in my ear, and I felt him twitch, lines and lines of his bliss erupting inside of me.
I clutched to his hands as tightly as I could, praying he would still be here when I woke up, and passed out, unable to hold on any longer, my body having reached its limit.
When I woke up, my body was sore but my heart was light. Reaching up, I felt the slight raise of love bites on my neck.
Was the dream real then? Had Damien truly come home to me?
Slowly, I became aware of more and more of my surroundings. There was a heavy arm draped over my waist and a warm body at my back.
Twisting, I turned to look.
Damien was there, his face half-buried in the pillow. Dark bags hung under his eyes as he slept like the dead,

totally out.
How exhausted he must have been. How hard he had been pushing himself.
In the several days since he had left us, had he even slept at all?
I doubted he had.
Checking the time, I knew, as much as I wanted to stay in bed with him all day, I couldn’t. The girls needed to be up soon for their lessons. We had to make breakfast. And I had an early meeting with the pack wives to go over more details of the upcoming banquet.
Damien needed sleep though, so I would leave him to it. Carefully, so as not to wake him, I shimmied out from under his arm and left the bed. Looking back at him, he hadn’t moved an inch.
With how tired he was, I bet I could come in here crashing pots and pans together and he still wouldn’t wake up.
I wouldn’t do that of course.
Instead, carefully, I reached over and tugged at his blankets, raising them up to his chin.
