Dominick didn’t even hesitate. “Honestly, with Lydia’s skills, she’s got nothing to worry about, even at the International Medical Competition.”
Kevin had been part of the World Medical Association for ages, and Lydia was already on the CAR-T research team. She had her own unique take on medicine, too. Facing off against the best students in the world? That was totally within her reach. Dominick had seen Lydia’s talent first-hand, so he felt confident making that call.
And let’s not forget, Lydia never showed off. She kept things low-key. Around here, if she didn’t deny something, it usually meant she could pull it off.
Yara looked like she was about to burst. Why did everyone have so much faith in Lydia, anyway? Marilyn had always been the star student, from freshman year all the way to now. She was the one the professors talked about. But lately, Lydia was the only name on anyone’s lips. How was Marilyn supposed to just accept that?
Marilyn snapped, “So you just trust Lydia that much? Or did Lydia hear something about the competition from Mr. Moore?”
Her words weren’t subtle at all. She was basically accusing Lydia of cheating, like maybe she’d gotten the test questions from Mr. Moore ahead of time.
That did it. Dominick wasn’t the only one shooting Marilyn a look. Every professor in the room looked annoyed.
“Marilyn, you can’t say that. Nobody knows the competition questions until right before the test. Don’t stir up trouble,” one of them said, their tone sharp.
Another joined in, “Exactly. Mr. Moore might be Lydia’s mentor, but he’s always been fair. Everyone knows that. If people from other countries heard you say that, it would ruin our whole country’s reputation.”

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
