Juna grinned. “If he won’t let us watch, then we’ll just sneak a peek.”
“But... but Marian moved into his room. They’re together now,”
Lydia pulled out a tiny glass bottle, the liquid inside crystal clear. “Just spray this in the room. Give it ten minutes and they’ll both be out cold. It won’t hurt them.”
Juna shot her a thumbs up. “Lydia, you’re a genius.”
Lincoln thought it over. “So we wait until they’re asleep, sneak in, spray the stuff, and once they’re out, we can check on him.”
Lydia nodded. “Yep.”
They waited until close to midnight before slipping outside. The moon was high, silver light shining through the leaves, throwing little patches of brightness across the old stone path. In the yard, an ancient oak tree stood quietly, its branches sometimes rustling with the sound of crickets, making the night feel even quieter.
Lincoln led the way to Mr. Lowe’s room, moving like he’d done this a hundred times. The plan was to spray the potion through the window. The three of them crept along, keeping low, barely making a sound. But as they reached the wall, muffled noises came from inside, the kind that made everyone’s face burn.
“Oh, Marian... this positionfeels so good.”
“Sir, slow down, I can’t handle it...”
The three of them froze.
Juna rolled her eyes so hard she could almost see her brain. Of all the things she could be doing right now, why was she stuck crouching by a window, listening to this?
Juna whispered, “What now? Will the spray still work?”
Lydia could only sigh. This was a first, even for her. She pulled out another bottle. “Good thing I brought a spare.”
Juna breathed out, relieved. At least their effort wouldn’t go to waste. His grandfather was something else.
They waited another ten minutes. When things finally went quiet, and they heard the steady sound of sleeping breaths, Lydia sprayed the extra dose into the room. The potion only worked if they breathed it in.
Lincoln pushed himself up, using the wall for support, finally able to breathe. “I’ll go unlock the door.”
Juna wrinkled her nose. “And open the window. This place seriously needs some fresh air.”

done reading lydia's story. thank you for sharing it....
thank u!...

the next upload is exciting. i cant wait....
Every chapter is missing a sentence from the end of every chapter. It’s frustrating to try guess what’s missing or said...
