Lydia chuckled. Arthur was always so caught up in work that he barely even made it home. If he ever got around to dating or getting married, it would definitely be way after Blake did.
After leaving Norwood Enterprises, Lydia got in her car and headed back to Capital Med School.
Kevin was already in the lab, practically wearing a groove in the floor from pacing. She’d told him about the clone last night, and the news had left him tossing and turning, unable to sleep for most of the night. This morning, he’d shown up early with dark circles under his eyes. For a man his age, it was almost impressive how much he managed to worry.
When Lydia finally showed up, Kevin rushed straight for the lab entrance to greet her.
“Lydia, you’re finally here!”
But before he could reach her, a group of professors swooped in, blocking his way.
“Lydia, thank goodness you’re here.”
“We’ve been waiting for you.”
“Where have you been these past few days?”
Dominick and the other professors surrounded her in seconds. Lydia had vanished without warning last week, and ever since, they’d been searching the campus for her. This morning, they finally decided to stake out the lab, and it had paid off.
“Sorry, I had a family emergency last week,” Lydia said.
Dominick jumped in right away. “Now that you’re back, could you help us with a few more problems?”
Mr. Russo nodded eagerly. “Yes, Lydia, if you don’t mind coming to our office again, we have so many questions for you.”
Dr. Tomlinson, who was usually more reserved, couldn’t hold back either. “And there’s the international medical competition. We really need your advice.”

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
