Lydia showed up at the cafe around three thirty in the afternoon. The place was charming and popular. She found the private room where she and Boris had agreed to meet, and sure enough, Boris was already waiting inside with a younger guy beside him.
As soon as Boris saw Lydia walk in, he jumped up from his seat, greeting her with a respectful smile. “Miracle Hands, you’re here.”
This was their third time meeting, so Boris had long accepted that this quiet young lady was actually the Miracle Hands everyone talked about. But the student he’d brought along clearly hadn’t gotten the memo.
When Lydia stepped in, the young man stared at her, stunned. For a second, he looked like he thought maybe she’d wandered into the wrong room. The famous Miracle Hands? Wasn’t she supposed to be older? More… imposing? Not this girl who couldn’t be more than eighteen?
Boris shot his apprentice a look, clearly annoyed. “Carter, what are you doing just standing there? Aren’t you going to greet Miracle Hands?”
Carter blinked and stared at Lydia, who honestly looked even younger than he was. Miracle Hands…? The legendary doctor he’d heard about for years? He’d assumed she’d be about the same age as Boris. Now, seeing her in person, he felt like the world had just flipped upside down. He couldn’t quite wrap his head around it.
Lydia caught on immediately to why he was acting so weird. She’d seen this reaction before. Most people had the same problem when they learned who she really was. Honestly, she didn’t have the patience to deal with it every time.
She turned to Boris and said, “It’s fine. Let’s talk about what’s important.”
She quickly explained how she’d discovered the clone and filled him in on her and Kevin’s theory. The more Boris heard, the more shaken he looked.
“These people are unbelievable! They have no morals at all. Miracle Hands, when I get back, I’ll start checking every research lab I can find, here and abroad. I’m gonna find out who the hell thinks they can get away with this. Someone has to be held accountable.”

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
