Paige let out a short laugh. “Drop the act, Lucinda. I told you, we’re strangers from now on. Don’t talk to me again. And don’t worry, your dirty secrets are safe with me. I’m not interested in spreading them. But one day, everyone will see you for who you really are. Karma’s real.”
Lucinda’s voice got even smaller, her eyes rimmed red. “Paige, you’ve got it all wrong. It’s not what you think.”
“Wrong? Seriously? Leila’s still locked up because of you. With what she did, she’ll be in there for at least three to five years. The whole Fraga family is falling apart, running around to fix things, and you? You’re still here pretending you’re some rich heiress in front of everyone. You make me sick.”
Lucinda looked like she wanted to cry. “Paige, Leila lost her head and hired people to kidnap Lydia. That has nothing to do with me. I didn’t know anything about it!”
Paige took a breath, steadying herself. “You can lie to everyone else, but you can’t fool me. There’s nothing left to say. Next time we cross paths, don’t even call me. We’re done.”

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
