Lydia thought about it for a second, then said, “I’ll do it when I have time.”

She only streamed when her schedule allowed. If she was busy, she just didn’t go live. But she couldn’t stay away too long, or Sue would absolutely freak out.

“Alright, I’ll wait for you,” Connor replied.

“Okay.”

“Have you had your meal?”

“Not yet.”

Connor frowned. “You’re still working? Do you even realize how late it is?”

“Have you?” Lydia shot back.

Connor grinned, his tone shameless. “Can’t eat. I’m too busy thinking about you.”

Lydia couldn’t believe it. The Connor everyone called cold and ruthless actually knew how to flirt.

When she didn’t answer right away, Connor wondered if he had scared her off. He cleared his throat, a little awkward. “Maybe we could eat together?”

“Well. I’m at the hospital with my parents.”

Connor got the message. “How’s Grandpa Wayne doing?”

“He’s alright. Nothing to worry about.” Lydia didn’t mention that Lucinda had once again caused Mr. Norwood to end up in surgery today.

“That’s good. I won’t keep you then. Go eat something. Let’s talk tonight.”

“Okay.”

Meanwhile, Milana was falling apart after her call with Dr. Hady.

Jenson nearly exploded. “Tell her she has to donate that kidney. Is she just going to watch Luke die?”

He always thought Sandy was a sensible girl. He never expected her to hesitate when it really mattered.

“I’ve told her everything, but she’s still not okay with it. Maybe it was all too sudden. It’s all Lydia’s fault anyway.”

“What’s the point of blaming Lydia now? You make some arrangements ag the hospital. I’ll talk to Mom and make sure Miracle Hands gets to the hospital right away. I’m heading home.”

“Okay. Got it.”

As soon as she hung up, Milana dialed Dr. Hady. “Dr. Hady, we’ve found a matching kidney donor. It’s my own daughter. And we’ve got Miracle Hands lined up for the surgery. Can you operate on my son right away?”

Dr. Hady was surprised. So Lydiahad already agreed to operate on Luke.

“Yes, we’ll start preparing immediately. And from now on, the donor shouldn’t eat anything.”
