Ready to Rule: The Real Heiress Strikes Back novel Chapter 350

If it were anyone else, Connor would have jumped out of the car and sent that punk flying.

But of course, this particular brat just had to be a Robinson.

Chris gave Nathaniel a long look. “Nathaniel, you might want to watch yourself.”

Nathaniel let out a mocking laugh, turning to Lydia with a bright, teasing grin. “Hey, girl. What do you think? Got the guts to play?”

Lydia gave a soft chuckle. “Play what, exactly?”

Nathaniel hadn’t expected her to actually bite, and that made him even more excited. “Winner takes all, one round. Since you’re a girl, I’ll cut you some slack. If you lose, Chris here has to call me King Nathaniel every time he sees me.”

Honestly, he didn’t care for anything else. He just wanted to see Chris eat his words. Just imagining Chris greeting him respectfully as King Nathaniel for the rest of his life made Nathaniel want to laugh.

Chris just snorted. “Keep dreaming.”

Nathaniel ignored him, eyes still fixed on Lydia. “So, are you in or not?”

Lydia nodded. “What if you lose, then?”

Nathaniel’s grin turned cocky. “If I lose, you can ask anything. Seriously, you could even make me your boyfriend, I wouldn’t say no.”

The second he said that, he felt an icy, dangerous stare drilling into the back of his head. It was coming from the guy standing behind Lydia—Connor.

Nathaniel, oblivious, just smirked. “Oh, you’ve already got a boyfriend? Doesn’t bother me. You can always dump him.”

Chris and the others could hardly believe Nathaniel was this reckless. Sure, he was a Robinson, but there was a limit to how much you could tempt fate.

Lydia’s smile turned cold. “If you lose, you call Chris and my boyfriend King, and call me Queen every time you see us.”

Her words made Chris crack up, and even Connor’s stern face broke into a small smile.

Nathaniel scoffed. “Do you even know who I am?”

Lydia looked at him, eyebrow raised. “Aren’t you just a person?”

Nathaniel was completely thrown off.

Then, out of nowhere, a cold, intimidating face appeared in his vision. The guy’s eyes were icy and sharp. If Nathaniel hadn’t been sitting in the car, he would’ve dropped to his knees and begged for mercy right then and there.

“Con… Con… Con…”

He tried to spit out the name but ended up tongue-tied, too scared to even speak.

Because Connor really was that terrifying.

Every rich kid in the city was scared of him. Most of them would rather take the long way around than cross his path.

Why? The story went that a while back, some spoiled rich kid was so out of control that his parents were about to have heart attacks. In the end, they sent him into the military, right into Connor’s unit.

Three months in, the kid was sobbing and begging to go home. Said Connor was a demon.

Six months later, the kid had completely changed.

A year after that, he came back and warned his friends, “If you ever get in trouble, just don’t mess with Connor. Seriously, he’s unreal. If he gets his hands on you, you’ll be lucky if you only lose a single layer of skin.”
