“Um, shouldn’t we be figuring out what to do next?” another judge said, clearing his throat. “If no one from our math department solves this problem, we’ll be the laughingstock of the whole Academic Competition.”
The judges were still puzzling over it when a student suddenly stood up and called out, “Professors!”
Everyone in the room turned to look.
“Juan? Wait, did he figure it out?”
“No way. He’s just some spoiled rich kid. We don’t even know he even ends up in the math department.”
“I heard he’s been hanging out with Daisy a lot lately. Are they a thing?”
“Really? Daisy’s a genius in medicine. Would she even look at someone like him?”
“Who knows.”
The judges leaned forward, eyes bright with hope. “Juan, have you solved the problem?”
Juan walked up to the front, taking his time. “I heard the medical competition just ended, and Lydia came in first. She’s the national top scorer, right? If she’s that good, her math must be incredible too. Why don’t we invite her over and see if she can crack this? We’re getting nowhere just sitting here.”
He made sure to stand right by the mic so everyone could hear him loud and clear.
The room buzzed with excitement.
“He’s got a point. Lydia got a perfect score nationwide. Her math skills must be insane.”
“But she’s from the medical department. Isn’t this a bit out of line? Why should she have to solve our math problem? What’s Juan really up to?”
Lucinda’s mind was racing.

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
