“I’m not asking you to make any decisions right now,” I said quickly. “I just think you need to be honest with yourself about what kind

of future you want. What kind of family you want to build.”

He nodded slowly. “I’ll talk to her tonight.”

“Good. And Xenois? Whatever you decide, Riley and I will support you. We care about you too much to want to see you unhappy.”

He nodded his head and turned around to leave, as Riley immediately got inside the house, closing the door behind him.

I waited until Xenois car was gone before stepping inside the house as I let my anger out.

“Riley Kingston. Get down here NOW!” I yelled, my voice carrying to every corner of the room as I heard his footsteps down the stairs as he stopped at the very last step, his hands gripping on tight to the railing as he looked at me.

“Where did you think you were going to?” I asked glaring at him as he swallowed hard.

“Upstairs…. To my room.” He mumbled the words out, sounding so small that I could barely hear him.

“And did I give you permission to do so?” I asked as he shook his head.

“Come to my front! Right now!” I said pointing at the spot in front of me as he shook his head.

“But Mama, I didn’t do anything this time.” He said as I stormed and grabbed him before he could run as I pinned him to the wall.

“Do you think I have time to be exchanging words with you?” I yelled as I slapped him hard across the face as he fell down crying. He

shook his head as I pulled him by his shirt.

“You secretly liked it, didn’t you. You liked it when YOUR mother burned my hand against that stove’ I snarled at him as he shook his

head looking confused,

‘Mama, no I didn’t. I swear I didn’t.” He sobbed as I refused to listen to him.

“I gave you one simple job to shake his hand you didn’t do it. How dare you?” I yelled pulling him up the stairs as he tried to hold

onto the railing but I tugged him free from It.

“I did, Mama. I shook his hand outside. I held it and all.” He said struggling to pull himself out of reach from me.

“No, you didn’t. If you did, then what happened.” I asked, as I kicked down the guest bathroom and dragged him in, turning on the tap

to full the bathtub.

“Nothing happened.. Mama. Please not the water. Please Mama..I swear. I did everything you asked me. Mama please. He begged as I

The bathtub was overflowing with water as I grabbed him up and forced him down inside the tub under water as he was screaming.i

pulled him out and forced him back again, his hands are gripping mine tight, his nails digging inside my skin and spilling blood.

I pulled him out and left him as I turned to face him.

“I don’t want to hear any noise from you. Stay here. I’ll come back tomorrow and remove you from here. This better be a lesson to you Riley. Don’t you dare fail me again.” I said as I walked out, closing the door behind me and locking it with the key before I stormed to

my bedroom.
