She glanced at Lucas but didn’t say a word.

After dinner, Noelle went back to her room and started a video call with Serena.

“Noelle, I’ve got a job offer for you. Want it? Mr. Lucas is offering 100 million dollars for you to find The Miracle Healer,” Serena said, teasing her a little.

Noelle was speechless.

She rubbed her forehead.

Lucas wants me to treat Sebastian’s legs?

But the poison in his legs still needed that last key herb–Wanderroot.

Without it, healing him would be almost impossible.

“I’m not taking that job.” She refused right away.

“Okay, I’ll tell him for you,” Serena said easily.

After hanging up, Noelle pulled out the herbs she had gotten from Alliance 749. She could use them to make pills. They couldn’t cure him, but at least they could ease Sebastian’s pain.

Knock! Knock!

Someone knocked on her door.

Noelle stuffed the herbs into her bag. When she saw Sebastian in the doorway, she gave him a sweet smile. “Hey, honey! Did Lucas already leave?”

“He left.”

Sebastian, sitting in his wheelchair, stopped at the doorway. His eyes swept over the room, but he didn’t come in. “What are you doing?”

“I’m just putting away the stuff I bought today! But … did I buy too much?”

Sebastian thought about the pile of cheap “treasures” she bought for only a few hundred dollars and paused for a moment.

“My family isn’t short on money,” he said calmly, but with a tone that left no room for argument. “Buy whatever you want. That card has 100 million dollars in it. If you use it up, I’ll add more.”

“Wow! Honey! You really do love me! People always say a man’s heart goes wherever his money goes. Since you’re willing to spend so much on me, that means you love me sooo much!”

Sebastian had no words.

He had no idea how Noelle could say things like that with a straight face.

“I’m going back to my room.” He moved his wheelchair.

“Okay, Honey! Good night!”

After he left, Noelle shut the door and started making pills.

She worked the whole night, and finally, several rounds of pills were done.

She let out a long breath and smiled in satisfaction.

The sky was already getting light, but she wasn’t sleepy at all, so she went downstairs.

Sebastian was already in the living room. He sat in his wheelchair with a thin blanket over his legs. He held a tablet in one hand and a stylus in the other, fully focused on work.

He was always like this–no surprise. He had ruled the business world at 17.

If not for the accident three years ago that destroyed his legs, his achievements would be even more terrifying.

In her past life, Noelle didn’t care about him at all. She never even found out who had tried to kill him.

That person clearly wanted him dead.

A cold sharpness flashed across her eyes, but she quickly replaced it with a bright smile. “Honey, good morning!”

“Mm,” Sebastian answered out of habit. But after thinking of what she said yesterday, he paused and then added, “Good morning.”

Noelle’s smile grew even brighter.

Breakfast was ready. They had just sat down when Lucas rushed in, sat down, and looked upset.
