Chapter 112 It’s Just a Meal
Since Jasper wanted so badly to play the perfect brother, Noelle decided to play along.
It was the perfect chance to get under Viola’s skin.
For several days, Jasper went out of his way to be kind to Noelle.
Viola grew even more jealous.
She just couldn’t handle Jasper being so nice to Noelle. When they got back to the Kain estate, she sulked for days!
But not a single member of the Kains noticed anything was wrong with her mood.
That only made her more upset, and she broke several things in her room before Willow finally realized she was unhappy.
“Viola, what’s wrong? Is something bothering you?” Willow asked.
“Mom, I’m not upset about myself. I’m worried about Jasper…”
“What about Jasper?”
“Half of Kain Group’s shares are in Noelle’s hands, and I’m afraid she might hurt Jasper. And Mom, did you know when Kain Group ran into trouble before, it was all because of Noelle!
“I heard Jasper say so himself. She set him up, so she could steal half of Kain Group’s shares.”
“I knew that girl was nothing but an ungrateful brat!” Willow snapped. “The Kains raised her for 18 years, and she turned around and schemed against us. She’s simply a heartless brat!
“Keeping her close to your brother is a disaster waiting to happen. We have to get rid of her!”
Viola’s spirits lifted. “Mom, what are you planning to do?”
Willow sneered. “The easiest way to ruin a woman is to destroy her reputation. Here’s what we’ll do…”
For several days in a row, Noelle went to Kain Group.
She read through all the company’s internal files

She and Jasper had the same number of shares, making them both the biggest decision- makers in the company, and no one dared stop her.
That day, Noelle had just finished at Kain Group and was about to head back to the Guzman residence when someone called her name.
“Noelle.”
Willow approached with Viola beside her. “It’s been a long time. Since we’ve run into each other, why don’t we have a meal together?”
Viola chimed in, “Noelle, Mom treated you like her own daughter for over ten years. It’s just a meal–surely you won’t say no, right?”
Her own daughter…
Noelle looked at Willow and Viola, who clearly hated her but were faking kindness, and smirked. “Dinner? Sure.”
The show Noelle had prepared for Willow was finally about to begin.
When Willow saw Noelle agree to dinner, she took her to a hotel.
She had reserved a private room, just the three of them.
“Noelle, try some of this fruit wine. It’s really good.”
Willow poured her a glass.
Noelle glanced at it. “I don’t drink.”
“Noelle, you used to drink all the time. Why not now?” Viola added, “Mom poured this for
herself. Isn’t it rude not to drink it?”

Noelle stared at them. “Are you sure you want me to drink this?”
Noelle’s gaze made Willow and Viola nervous, but remembering that their plan was
foolproof, Willow regained her composure. “This wine isn’t strong, and it tastes sweet. It’s just what girls your age like.”
“Fine.”
Noelle smirked, picked up the glass, and finished it in one go.
Willow and Viola exchanged an excited look.
Noelle spun
the empty glass in her hand and chuckled, “Mrs. Kain, I remember you once

“Of course I was the one who found you. If it weren’t for me, you would have starved to death!” Viola interrupted. “So, Noelle, you should be grateful to the Kains for your whole life! Taking half the shares from Kain Group–that’s just being ungrateful!”
“Grateful… Yes, I spent 18 years being grateful to you. Out of respect for the Kains raising me, I always listened to you, Mrs. Kain. But Mrs. Kain, do you really deserve my gratitude?”
“Did you take me in out of kindness, or was there some other reason? Or maybe you never found me at all and actually took me from somewhere else on purpose?”
Willow’s face froze, her eyes flashing with panic. What did Noelle mean by that?
Did she know something?
The next moment, Noelle laughed again. “I just read a novel where a woman’s daughter was very sick, and another baby just happened to have a matching blood type. The woman went crazy and secretly took the healthy baby home to use as a blood donor for her real daughter.
“Doesn’t that sound familiar, Mrs. Kain?” Noelle stared straight at Willow. “You said you found me on the street, and it just so happened I could give your daughter blood transfusions.
“Is it really possible for something that coincidental to happen? Or did you do something similar, like the woman in the novel?”
