Noelle also wanted to check out the underground black market. There might be something worth picking up. So she nodded.
“Take this,”
Serena pulled out a black pistol and handed it to her. “Guns are legal here. Better safe than sorry.”
Noelle felt the weight of it in her hand. The cold metal reflected a sharp glint in her eyes.
She quickly checked the magazine, then smoothly hid it inside her long coat.
Seeing that Noelle had accepted it, Serena drew another pistol and secured it behind her waist.
“Let’s go.” Noelle led the way. Her voice, muffled behind the white veil, sounded distant and cool.
Neither of them changed outfits. Still striking in their attire, they headed straight for the entrance to the underground black market in the city center.
The entrance looked like a rundown, abandoned subway station. After descending several flights and passing through tight security, the space suddenly opened up.
They’d arrived.
It was the largest underground black market in the world. You could find almost anything- along with casinos, underground boxing rings, and auction houses. Unlike Florasia, those auction houses here didn’t just sell objects. People could be auctioned too.
Most were women, often naked.
The air reeked of smoke, alcohol, sweat, and a faint mix of blood and raw, obscene energy.
Serena looked excited, scanning the chaos like a predator.
“Still just as chaotic,” she said. “And… alive.”
“Florasians are losers!”
“Florasian loser!”
“Trash! Trash!”

Noelle and Serena both frowned. Being from Florasia, neither could stand hearing their homeland insulted in a foreign place.
They looked toward the noise.
It came from an underground boxing ring.
A Florasian teen was fighting three large foreign men.
He looked about 18 or 19, hair plastered to his sweat–soaked face, eyes sharp like a hawk.
He was battered and drenched in sweat, clearly exhausted, but he kept fighting.
The three men were massive and heavily built, a stark contrast to the teen’s slim frame. Their presence alone felt like a weight on him. Still, he didn’t falter.
Even facing three opponents, he wasn’t backing down.
“This guy is interesting,” Serena remarked, folding her arms as she watched. She gave a nod of approval.
He had a wild edge to him.
Noelle kept her eyes locked on the ring, saying nothing.
Bang!
One of the men swung a kick aimed straight for the teen’s stomach. The teen ducked with perfect timing, grabbed the attacker’s leg, and twisted.
A scream ripped through the air as the man’s back slammed violently into the ground.
“Bastard!”
The other two glanced at each other and lunged forward again.
Fighting all three at once was clearly wearing the teen down. Sweat soaked him, and his movements were slowing. Still, he dodged both strikes.
But that dodge cost him everything he had left.
The three men exchanged a look, sensing he was on the brink. Their strikes sharpened, grew faster, and synced together.
One swept low, smashing a kick into the teen’s supporting leg. He stumbled with a grunt. In

that split second, the man on the right saw an opening and swung a brutal hook toward the teen’s temple. The teen barely raised his arm to block it, the blow numbing his arm and tipping his body sideways.
Ahead of him, the third man, who had been waiting for the perfect moment, charged suddenly. His shoulder slammed into the teen’s hest.
Bang!
