“Those are two different things! We paid the consultation fee. Treating my mother was her duty!”
Serena let out a sharp, angry laugh.
If the presidential residence hadn’t helped Alliance 749 before, with that measly fee they offered, do they really think they could hire the Miracle Healer?
“Mr. President, is that how you see it too?” Serena’s voice went cold as she shouted up the stairs.
Yet the upstairs doors were tightly shut, as if they had no idea what was happening below.
There was no way they didn’t know. They were just playing deaf.
So much for the presidential family.
Just a pack of ungrateful people!
Fine! Very well!
Seeing this, Anna looked thrilled and pleased.
She crossed her arms and walked toward Noelle step by step. “Miracle Healer, huh… So impressive.”
Her eyes were fixed on the veil covering Noelle’s face. “You hide your appearance, too scared to show your real face. You must be ugly as hell, right? Today I want to see exactly what kind of freak you are!”
As she spoke, she reached out to rip off Noelle’s veil.
“You’re dead!”
Before Noelle could move, Serena shouted first. She grabbed Anna’s raised hand and twisted it hard.
“Ah!”
A crisp sound of bone snapping rang out along with Anna’s scream.
Anna’s arm dropped limply.
Serena had broken her arm.

She stared viciously at Serena. With her uninjured hand, she pulled a gun from behind her waist and fired straight at Serena.
Even though Serena reacted quickly, the shot still hit her arm.
A flash of vicious satisfaction crossed Anna’s eyes. “You’re just an assistant. How dare you touch me! Serves you right.”
Blood poured out.
Noelle’s expression instantly turned icy. Her pupils contracted, and murderous intent surged in her eyes like a violent storm.
She wanted this woman dead.
She took a sharp breath and stepped forward. She supported Serena’s injured arm, tapping her upper arm twice in quick succession to stop the bleeding.
Her gaze slowly shifted from Serena’s wound to Anna’s face. The former calm was gone, replaced by a bottomless, chilling cold.
“Anna, I gave you a chance,” Noelle said softly, her voice carrying a bone–deep chill. “I also gave your family a chance.”
Anna felt her scalp prickle under that stare, but relying on the fact that this was her own territory, surrounded by armed guards, she forced herself to stay steady and even grew more arrogant. “A chance? Hah. I’m the one giving you a chance now! Grovel, apologize, and break your own hands. Maybe I’ll consider letting you die in one piece.”
Noelle seemed not to hear her shouting at all. She merely tilted her head slightly and said softly to Serena, “Serena, hang in there.”
Serena nodded. Her face was a little pale from blood loss, but her eyes remained sharp.
Then Noelle began walking toward Anna, step by step.
At that moment, she looked like a reaper incarnate, killing intent radiating from her. With every step she took, Anna’s courage shrank another notch.
Anna was scared now, but she refused to admit it She tightened her grip on the gun and aimed it at Noelle.
The instant she raised it, three silver needles shot out from Noelle’s sleeve and pierced

Anna cried out in pain. Her hand loosened, and the gun fell. Noelle kicked it lightly, and the gun landed in her hand.
With a sharp click, the dark muzzle was pressed straight against Anna’s temple.
The surrounding guards were shocked. They immediately drew their weapons and aimed at Noelle and Serena.
Noelle tilted her head slightly, her eyes sweeping over the dozens of gun barrels pointed at her and Serena. The chill in her gaze deepened.
“Mr. President, are you still enjoying the show upstairs?” Noelle looked at Anna, the gun casually sliding along her temple. Tell me–are my hands faster, or are your men’s hands? I’m willing to blow your daughter’s head off, but you don’t actually dare make a move on me.”
Upstairs.
Marshall, Irene, and Amanda all looked grim.
They hadn’t expected Noelle to be this good with a gun, or as deadly with martial arts as she was with medicine.
“She’s pointing a gun at our daughter!” Irene hissed angrily.
Anna had been spoiled and doted on since childhood. Noelle was crossing a line.
Amanda couldn’t help lowering her voice. “Father, the Miracle Healer has Alliance 749 behind her, and countless people around the world owe her their lives. We’ve gone too far, treating her like this. I’m worried…”
Marshall’s face was stony. He had only intended to let Anna take the Miracle Healer down a peg, and if possible, keep her at the presidential residence to work for them. He never imagined Noelle would be this unyielding.
Now he was stuck in an awkward position.
With a cold face, he strode downstairs.
“Miracle Healer, no need to get this angry. My daughter was out of line, but she didn’t cause any real harm, did she?”
“Are you blind?” Noelle sneered. What about Serena’s injury? How is that no real harm?
