Chapter 212 A Fight
The crowd gasped.
That bet was insane!
If Elliot lost, his future would end right there.
He’d never make the main unit. He’d stay a nobody forever, stuck in the shadows.
Braxton was vicious!
Eden’s expression turned grim, but Noelle stayed steady. “And if you lose?”

“Me? Lose?” Braxton laughed like he’d heard the dumbest joke ever. How could that happen? “If I lose, I’ll resign from the main unit and leave IBI!”
Noelle nodded. “Agreed.”
“Mrs. Menzie!” Eden freaked out. The risk was way too big.
Noelle lifted her hand, signaling him to calm down, then said, “Not today. One week from now. You two will fight in the ring.”
One week?
Braxton paused, then sneered inside. Even if Noelle trained Elliot herself, what could really change in seven days? At worst, it just dragged things out. Braxton trusted his strength completely.
“Fine. One week.” He agreed instantly, then glanced around smugly. “Mrs. Menzie, don’t chicken out when the time comes!”
Noelle didn’t even look his way. She turned to Elliot and Eden. “We’re leaving.”
Elliot pursed his lips and followed her, leaving the training ground buzzing with whispers and stares.
Eden rushed after them. He wanted to speak, but when he saw Noelle’s calm side profile, he swallowed the words back down.
Once they reached a quiet place, Eden finally blurted, “Mrs. Menziel Why would you accept that? And with stakes like that! Braxton’s combat skills are near the top of the main unit. Elliot-”
Eden paced nonstop, panicking. Just imagining Elliot losing, getting kicked out of headquarters, and losing all hope of promotion made his stomach twist.
Noelle looked straight at Elliot. “Do you think you’ll lose?”
He clenched his jaw and met her eyes. “I’ll give it everything I’ve got. I won’t disappoint you.”
He couldn’t beat Braxton right now. But in one week, he’d train until he dropped.
Even if he lost, he’d lose with dignity!
He had to prove Noelle was right.
He couldn’t let Braxton shame her like that!

A trace of approval warmed Noelle’s eyes. She liked his backbone.”
Eden blurted, “But Mrs. Menzie, even with this week, it’s too short! There’s no way Elliot beats Braxton in seven days!”
“With me here, he will.”
Noelle’s voice wasn’t loud but was as firm as steel.
She told Elliot, “Do exactly what I say. I promise you’ll win in one week.”

Seven days passed in a flash.
News of the ring fight spread all over the headquarters.
That day, the training ground was packed solid.
Almost every reserve member showed up, along with most of the main members.
Everyone wanted to see if Elliot could pull off a miracle after one week under Noelle or get crushed by Braxton and lose his future for good.
Braxton stood in the ring early, wearing a red combat suit. He rolled his shoulders, muscles bulging, presence fierce.
“Mr. Menzie! Mrs. Menzie!”
Sebastian arrived with Noelle and the other senior officials.
Everyone snapped to attention.
Braxton also saluted from the ring, but when his eyes slid to Elliot behind Noelle, his mouth twisted into a disdainful sneer.
Elliot wore a simple black training uniform. He still looked lean, but his steps were firm. His eyes stayed calm, like the roaring crowd didn’t exist.
“Damn, even Mr. and Mrs. Menzie are here! And all the senior officials!”
“This is huge!”
“I heard Mrs. Menzie trained Elliot at Invictus Alliance every day this week. They came back super late every night. Total mystery.”
“Mystery or not, Braxton is too strong. No way Elliot wins after training in just one week.”
“Yeah, Elliot is probably done.”
“I wouldn’t say that. Did you forget who Mrs. Menzie Is? The boss of Alliance 7491 Alliance 749 runs worldwide. She has to have some secret methods.”
“She’s legendary, sure. But seven days isn’t enough. Braxton and Elliot are on totally different levels.”
As the chatter grew louder, Sebastian and Noelle took the main seats on the platform. The other senior officials followed in order.
Sebastian’s face stayed cool as his eyes swept over the ring until they paused on Noelle beside him.

He pulled out his tumbler and reached toward her.
“Noey, here-”
“Oh my dear boss! Drink some water!”
Sebastian had just opened the straw and was about to hand it over when Troy suddenly popped in.
