“Got it!” Serena heard the certainty in Noelle’s voice and finally let herself breathe. “Don’t worry. I’m watching them like a hawk.”

At the Guzman estate, Angus sat alone in the study, a rush–order DNA report unfolded across his desk.

His aged, shaking fingers fumbled for his glasses. He slid them on and read each word slowly, painfully.

“DNA results confirm a biological grandparent–grandchild relationship between Sample A (Angus Guzman) and Sample C (Noelle Kain).”

A single tear rolled off his cheek and hit the paper, smudging the ink.

“She’s really mine… My sweet girl…”

His voice cracked. His lips trembled. Tears spilled down his face and soaked into the creases of his skin.

That little baby in the crib he never got to hold again–she had grown up. And she had come back.

The grief, the longing, and the impossible relief pressed down on his chest like a weight he wasn’t ready for. It crushed him and healed him at the same time.

“Sir, please. Try to stay calm. Don’t overexert yourself!” The butler rushed over and offered him a bottle of water. His own eyes were glossy. He had witnessed every year of Angus’s quiet suffering.

Angus waved him off and pulled the report close to his heart like it was life itself.

Another butler entered the room, clearly nervous. “Sir … your son and wife just released an official statement. They’re holding a homecoming party for Ms. Charlotte next weekend.”

Angus’s expression froze. The warmth on his face drained away completely.

He stood up so fast his chair scraped back. His hands shook. His voice roared. “A party? For that impostor? Absolutely not! Are they out of their minds?! I’ll go stop them myself-”

“Angus! Please!”

A deep voice called out from the hallway, strained with urgency.

Roman stormed in without knocking, his breath ragged, panic scrawled across his face.

“I’ve got it! Real evidence! Viola is a fraud. That girl I mentioned–Noelle–she’s the real one. She’s your actual granddaughter!”

Then he saw it. The paper in Angus’s hand. The storm in Angus’s eyes. Roman froze.

Angus handed over the document. His voice dropped into a steady, iron tone. “Roman. You don’t need to look into it anymore. I already know. Noelle’s my blood. This confirms it.”

Roman scanned the page. His heart thudded against his ribs. “Finally! Thank goodness! That girl’s a thousand times better than Viola! Smart, compassionate, incredible!”
