Noelle’s voice was firm and cold. It carried a quiet authority that left no room for argument. “I’m warning you. This is the last time Keep Viola under control. If I ever find out that she–or you–tries anything again that interferes with my life…”
She paused. The words that followed were cold and sharp. “You’d better hide her well. Make sure I never find her. Otherwise, you deal with the consequences.”
Without waiting for Jasper to respond, Noelle ended the call. She hung up quickly, as if hearing his voice for even one more secon would annoy her.
On the other side of the line, Jasper listened to the dead tone of the phone.
The faint smile on his face slowly faded. His eyes turned dark and unreadable.
Viola had been hiding nearby, secretly listening the whole time. When she saw his expression, she hurried over and started complaining dramatically. “Jasper, did you hear that? She’s so ungrateful! I was only trying to help her see the real faces of the Guzmans. Even if she doesn’t appreciate it, she shouldn’t talk to you like that. She clearly doesn’t respect you as her brother at all!
Jasper slowly turned his head and looked at her.
The look in his eyes had changed. Before, there had been a trace of patience, maybe even tolerance. Now there was nothing but coldness. His gaze felt like a snake staring at its prey.
Viola felt a chill crawl up her spine. She stepped back without thinking. “J–Jasper?”
Suddenly, Jasper moved. His hand shot forward like lightning and grabbed Viola by the throat.
“Urghh!”
Caught off guard, Viola couldn’t breathe. Her face instantly turned red. Her eyes widened in panic as she tried to pry his iron grip of
her neck.
“Noelle is not someone you get to speak about,” Jasper said calmly. But his hand tightened slowly around her throat. “Understand?”
Viola nodded desperately. Tears streamed down her face, and fear filled her eyes.
This man could kill her for real.
“Remember your place.”
Jasper released his grip. Viola collapsed to the floor, gasping for air and coughing hard.
“If you want to stay alive, behave yourself,” he said coldly. “From now on, I only have one sister. Her name is Noelle.” He bent down slightly, his shadow covering the trembling Viola. “If you ever try to play tricks or do anything behind my back to hurt the
Guzmans…”
His voice dropped to a soft whisper, but it sent icy fear straight through her bones. “I won’t mind making you disappear.”

At Melrose Manor, Noelle lowered her phone and turned to Sebastian.
“Let’s go to the Guzman Residence.”
Sebastian nodded and immediately told the driver to prepare the car.
He already knew what the situation there must look like. Right now, they were under pressure from every direction.
The car soon arrived at the Guzman residence.
The atmosphere inside was heavy, like a dark cloud that wouldn’t move.
The servants walked quietly through the halls. No one spoke loudly. Their faces showed worry and fear.
Angus and his sons were sitting in the living room. All of them looked worn out, their brows tightly furrowed.
When they saw Noelle and Sebastian walk in, a small spark of hope appeared in their eyes. But it quickly faded, replaced by guilt
and hesitation.
“Noey, you’re here,” Angus said softly.
He opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something, but the words never came out.
Angus simply couldn’t ask his granddaughter–who had just come home after so many years of suffering–to step forward and face the public again. Not just for Alina. Not just to protect the Guzman Group.
Brian looked like he wanted to speak too but stopped himself. Kenny and Lance both wore painful expressions.
Noelle watched them quietly. She could easily guess what they were struggling with.
She was just about to say something.
Just then, Sin rushed in from outside, a phone in his hand and a strange look on his face. “Boss,” he said quickly. “The Guzman Group’s official account just posted a statement. Ms. Alina wrote the statement under her own name.
Everyone froze. They immediately pulled out their phones.
The statement wasn’t long. But the words were clear, and the decision behind them was firm.
