Sebastian went to the mall to do an inspection. He didn’t want Noelle to get bored following him, so he told her to go shopping on her own. She could pick up anything she liked. After all, it was their own store, so she could buy as much as she wanted.

Noelle wanted to stay with Sebastian, but she was thoughtful and didn’t want to bother him while he was busy. So she went shopping alone. It was also a good chance to see if she could find anything to buy for Sebastian.

She walked into a big clothing store.

The store assistant, Lily Sambridge, smiled as soon as someone came in. But when she saw Noelle’s outfit, her smile faded.

“I want to see the women’s clothes and the men’s too,” Noelle said.

“They’re all over there. Take your time,” Lily said, still sounding annoyed.

Noelle didn’t think much of it and started looking around. When she spotted a piece she liked and reached out to feel the fabric, Lily’s face immediately changed.

“Miss, you can’t touch these clothes! They’re very expensive!”

If the clothes got dirty, they’d have to wash them, which would make more work for the staff. Noelle raised an eyebrow. “I can’t even touch them? Are these clothes really that precious?” “Of course! Each of these clothes costs at least ten thousand dollars!”

Noelle’s voice dropped, carrying authority. “Such an attitude. Customers come in to shop and can’t even touch anything? Who said I was here to cause trouble? Does your manager know how you behave?”

She couldn’t handle Noelle’s presence and started to doubt herself.

Right when Lily was wavering, a voice called out.

“Noelle?!”

Willow walked in, arm in arm with Viola.

Willow had come to buy clothes for Elmer. He was still in the hospital, and after his leg injury, his old pants didn’t fit comfortably anymore. So she had brought Viola along to shop and also to pick up some nice clothes for Viola as a little reward for putting up with the past few difficult days.

But she didn’t expect that leading Viola in would let her see Noelle here—and even see her arguing with the store assistant.

Lily saw Willow and Viola and quickly put on a cheerful smile. “Oh! Mrs. Kain! Ms. Kain! You’re here!”
