She crouched down until they were eye–level.

There was no anger in her eyes. No sadness either. Only a calm that made people’s skin crawl.

“If Jasper won’t answer my calls, I’ll burn his house,” she said. “If one isn’t enough, I’ll burn another. I’ll keep going until he shows up.”

Viola stared at her, shaking all over.
