Jasper quickly said it was fine. No matter how long the wait was, he could handle it.

At the same time, he felt relieved. Harlan had known he would come and even had someone waiting for him. That meant Harlan already knew about what happened to the Kain Group.
So, Harlan was not ignoring his calls on purpose. He must have just been busy.
Jasper relaxed. As long as Alliance 749 was involved, there was nothing to worry about. The Kain Group would definitely be fine.
Ring! Ring!
When his phone rang, Jasper quickly picked it up. He thought it was Harlan, but it turned out to be Viola.
Jasper frowned but still answered. “Viola.”
“Jasper, where are you right now? I just called your assistant, and he said you went to Alliance 749?” Viola asked carefully.
“Yes,” Jasper said with a nod. “I’m at Alliance 749 now. What’s wrong?”
Viola hurried to say, “Oh… My classmates and I are nearby. Can we come over to see you? Don’t worry, we won’t bother you. We’ll just look at you quietly from outside the Alliance 749 building, okay?”
Jasper frowned and was about to refuse when Viola added, “My classmates know you’re working with Alliance 749. They all think you’re amazing. Can I come see you?”
Her voice carried a little grievance and a little pride. In the end, Jasper could not resist.
At least Viola was nothing like Noelle. Viola had always idolized him, treating him like a hero.
He softened and agreed. He also did not want Viola to lose face in front of her friends.
“Alright. You can come, but you can only stay outside. After I’m done, I’ll treat you and your classmates to a meal.”
‘That’s great! I knew you were the best!” Viola said happily.
After hanging up, Viola could not hide the smile on her face.
She had the call on speaker, so her classmates heard everything. They looked at Viola with envy.
“Oh my God, Viola, Jasper is amazing. He can actually come and go freely at Alliance 749.”
They had thought Viola was just bragging to Noelle, but Jasper really was that impressive.
Viola lifted her chin, feeling proud. “It’s nothing. Let’s go to the Alliance 749 building now. We can’t go inside, but we can quietly watch from outside.”
“Okay!”
Her classmates looked full of excitement.

After the call ended, Jasper continued waiting in the lobby.

After almost half an hour, the front desk finally said to him, “You can go upstairs now. Mr. Clark is waiting for you in his office.”
Jasper quickly followed them upstairs. After leading him to the office door, the staff left. Jasper knocked and walked in.
“Hello, Mr. Clark.”
Harlan sat in his office chair and glanced at him calmly.
“Come in.”
Jasper stepped inside and looked around. He had been to Harlan’s office twice before, and he knew there was a hidden door behind a curtain on the wall that led to a resting area.
The previous two times, no one had been there. But now, he could see a faint figure inside.
It seemed to be a woman sitting cross–legged and drinking tea.
The figure made Jasper pause. It felt strangely familiar.
It looked like Noelle.
Jasper pulled his gaze back, thinking he was imagining things.
He quickly got to the point.
“Mr. Clark, I’m here about the Southel project,” he said urgently. “I’ve put all of the Kain Group’s funds into it, but now the government has frozen everything, claiming building violations. Our entire investment is at a standstill. What is going on?”
Harlan looked up at him lazily. “Are you questioning me right now?”
“No, I…”
“You begged us to give you this project. Now that something went wrong, you’re blaming me?”
Harlan sneered. “You should know that the Kain Group was never qualified to work with Alliance 749. I only introduced this project to you because I saw that you were sincere.
“There was no problem when the project was in our hands. Why did it fail once it got to you? Why don’t you reflect on yourself? You’ve really disappointed me!”
Harlan angrily waved his sleeve, as if he were deeply disappointed.
