Chapter 186 Say It Again
“I just want to hear you say it again. Out loud. You like me.

“Or just own up to what you said earlier-when the poison messed with your head. You meant it, didn’t you?”
Riven clamped his mouth shut.
In his mind, he was cursing that shaman. Her snake venom scrambled his brain for a few minutes.
And in those minutes, he’d said everything he’d been trying to bury.
It was humiliating.
“Get off me!”
“Nope.”
Annelise shifted her legs again. She was bundled in thick winter clothes, sprawled on top of his fur-lined cloak.
She had no clue what part of him she was pressing against. But Riven knew.
His body always ran hot. He didn’t dress heavy, never needed layers. And now, this bold little female was rubbing up against his lower stomach like it was nothing
The heat hit him hard. His entire core was burning up.
He had never felt anything like this before.
“Riven…”
All at once, he grabbed Annelise and moved her off him firmly, almost rough.
Once she was off, he backed into the corner and sat down.
He snapped his legs together.
“Don’t say a word. I mean it. I’m completely certain now we didn’t sleep together.”
“Huh? But you already told me that, didn’t you?”
“I did. But I wasn’t a hundred percent sure back then. I just said it to calm you down. Now I know it’s true.
“Annelise… I misjudged you. I owe you an apology.”
“Wait a second.”
She looked down at how he was sitting, legs tight together, and suddenly it all made sense.
She wasn’t clueless anymore, unlike when she first came to this world.
“Hmm… you’re not… oh my God. You’re turned on, arent you?”
“I’m not!”
Chapter 186 Say It Again
Riven practically shouted.
The louder he got, the more she knew she was right. He was flustered as hell.
She leaned in and gently poked his back.
Riven jumped and locked up.
“Don’t touch me!”
Annelise smirked. “Remember what I said?”
“I like you too.”
Riven’s face turned scarlet.
Even his ears were burning.
“I… I remember… just stop talking. Let me breathe.”
He could feel the heat spreading through his chest.
It dropped lower, making him squirm.
It wasn’t like those messed-up times when his instincts took over.
This was different. This was real, unlike forced going into heat. That was uncontrollable.
He hated going into heat. It made him lose control.
He couldn’t think straight.
But this time? It was all him. No triggers. No outside forte. Just him, reacting to the girl he liked.
A girl who made him want things.
He wanted to kiss her. Hold her. Keep her close.
But if that thing below the belt decided to act up and she saw it? That would be a disaster.
Brimels had standards. He couldn’t just lose it like some animal.
That’d make him look pathetic. Like one of those desperate males no one respected.
Meanwhile, Adrian sneezed like crazy back at home, totally unaware.
Riven kept his knees locked and snapped, “Don’t touch me. I mean it.”
Annelise stared at him, smirking as her eyes flicked lower.
Riven shrank back into the corner, practically folding in on himself.
“And don’t look at me like that either! Turn around. Now!”
Annelise scoffed.

“Oh, now you get it. Your body’s reacting, huh? You feel, don’t you? Something new?”
“I don’t feel anything! Shut up!”
By the time he yelled that, he was panting.
He gripped his chest like he was trying to hold something in.
