Reborn as the Boss Lady novel Chapter 23

Chapter 23 Went Viral

“Heh, tough talk. Wynne. Who in the whole server doesn’t know you’re Vaelthorn’s simp? Tonight at eight. Cupid Island. Don’t be late!”

Without waiting for a response, as if afraid she would refuse, Kaylee hung up first.

How boring.

Wynne casually tossed her phone onto the table and lazily looked up, only to meet Jerome’s eyes.

“Simp?”

Jerome’s voice was like ice shards. A chilling aura spread through his body, dropping the temperature in the entire dining room in an instant.

“If I said I don’t remember any of it, would you believe me?” Wynne asked.

Her long, pale fingers tapped lightly against her temple. Wynne’s gesture was roguish, yet her tone remained completely unbothered.

In truth, hardly anyone would believe it, but the real “simp” was Vaelthorn.

Wynne still had his spam messages in her WhatsApp.

In-game, the moment she logged on, Vaelthorn would instantly track her location and show up beside her. Because of misunderstanding, everyone had naturally assumed she was the one chasing him.

Jerome said nothing, his eyes dark and unreadable.

“So what exactly are you mad about this time, Mr. Cromwell?”

Wynne raised a brow, genuinely puzzled by his impossible temper. She couldn’t figure out what he was

even upset over.

“Ms. Sinclair…”

Suddenly, Brian pulled his gaze away from his phone, looking up with a strange expression. He continued. “Your in-game name wouldn’t be Wynnix, right?”

As soon as he finished speaking, Wynne and Jerome both looked up at him at the same time.

I think you should probably take a look at this,” Brian said as he handed over his phone.

“Cast it to the screen.”

Jerome’s gaze turned ice-cold. The look alone made Brian’s hand shake. He quickly connected his phone to the dining room’s TV instead.

The clickbait headline immediately lit up the screen.

“Noveria Dominion’s Number One Lovesick Freak, Wynnix, Did This Just to Chase the Server’s Second- Ranked Player, Vaelthorn?!”

Copter 24 Went Viral

In the video, Wynnix clung shamelessly to Vaelthorn. When her tactics of pestering him didn’t work, she even started stripping her character in-game in public, swearing that she would crash Vaelthorn and Moonfall Serene’s wedding and steal the groom.

What?

When the in-game character started taking off her clothes, Wynne quickly reached out and covered Dylan’s eyes. She licked her lips, her gaze fixed on the screen with a faintly dangerous glint in her eyes.

Who Moonfall Serene was didn’t need explaining.

“This video has already gone viral across the internet.”

Noveria Dominion had dedicated sections on every major short-video platform. Whoever posted this clearly wanted chaos-it shot up the trending topics almost instantly. The comment section was flooded with people calling Wynnix disgusting and shameless, with over 200,000 likes on those hate comments alone.

And now people were even saying they’d show up in groups at Cupid Island tonight just to watch the drama.

“My account got hacked by those cheating bastards.”

Wynne leaned back casually in her chair, eyes still fixed on the TV, her expression unreadable.

It wasn’t just a simple hack-and-record situation. Everything on her account had been stripped clean-her gear, her gold, all of it. The top-tier outfit Kaylee was wearing in the video had originally belonged to her. She had spent three straight days grinding a dungeon boss without sleep to get it.

There was only one set on the entire server, called Aurora Waltz Attire.

Wynne was in a very bad mood.

She was the type of person who, once something belonged to her, would rather let it rot in her hands than hand it over-let alone have it stolen.

Vaelthorn and Moonfall Serene, huh?

Since they’d “sincerely” invited her, Wynne wasn’t about to disappoint those scumbags.

Cupid Island. Eight o’clock. It was set.

At that moment, a heavily modified, flashy purple Aston Martin screeched to a stop in front of the villa with a perfect drift.

“Jerome!

“Jerome!

“Stop hiding in there! I know you’re home!

“Hey, Cromwell! Do you hear me?”

The voice was loud enough to pierce eardrums.

Chapter 23 Went Viral

Wynne raised a brow as the sound grew closer.

Soon, the owner of the voice appeared at the entrance of the dining room.

Even in the scorching heat, he was dressed in a white luxury fur coat. He was strikingly handsome in a way that didn’t feel real. He wore a decorative gold-rimmed pair of glasses, and his entire vibe practically said one thing: refined scoundrel.

Under the dining table, Rolly-who had been diligently trying to curl itself into a perfect bow-

immediately went rigid the moment the man stepped inside. It flopped onto the floor and lay perfectly still. fully committed to playing dead.
