Chapter 38 Midnight Mission
Talk about perfect timing.
Fertilizer was one thing that never went bad.
With her Ten-Thousandfold Duplication ability, the patch of black soil inside her storage space could finally be put to good use!
After successfully trading for the fertilizer, Autumn waved her hand and stored all of it inside her storage space.
Once she got some large-scale farming equipment, she could figure out how to start planting.
The days passed one after another.
Autumn had been carefully counting the days, waiting for the end of the first disaster.
There was a three-day buffer period between the first disaster and the second disaster.
Those three days were the final opportunity heaven gave people to gather supplies.
Once those three days were over, torrential rain would pour down, and collecting supplies would become extremely difficult.
Next door. Leonel had also been counting the days, urging his people to finish adjusting the defenses at the foot of the mountain as quickly as possible.
Once this rain started, they would no longer be able to drive when they went out again.
That day, Autumn was lazily enjoying a bowl of shaved ice, eating chilled watermelon, and listening to an audiobook.
David suddenly shouted, “Hey! The flowers came back to life!”
Autumn hurried over to take a look and saw that the flowers, which had been drooping before, were now standing upright again.
She immediately pulled out a thermometer and placed it under the sun, watching the temperature steadily drop, lower and lower.
“The heat wave is over!” Autumn exclaimed before immediately turning around and running into the house
She packed away everything meant for summer and changed into lightweight cotton clothes suitable for spring and fall
She also took all the dehumidifiers out of her storage space, scattered lime powder around the corners of the cave to absorb moisture, then called David over to remove the solar panels from the top of the cave while she took out the gasoline generator and prepared to install it
The neighbors next door heard the commotion on Autumn’s side and came over to ask what was ppening.
After learning that the temperature had started dropping, they hurried back to dismantle their own equipment as well.
During the megastorms and extreme cold phase, the sky would remain overcast all the time, and there would barely be any sunlight.
The solar panels would be useless then.
Leaving them outside would only let them freeze and get damaged, so it was better to put them away and save them for later.
James’s execution was as efficient as ever.
