Chapter 68 A Nudge Toward War

Seeing Killian so eager and warm, Willa promptly started playing hard to get. “Actually, I’m not in that much of a hurry to get married I’ll go home and talk it over with my family first.”

The joy in Killian’s eyes died down bit by bit. “Fine. Let me know whenever there’s an answer.

Willa swayed her hips and left.

Killian turned to Brandon. “Brandon, you think that kid’s mine, right?”

Brandon shrugged. “Hard to say right now.”

Killian pressed his tongue against the roof of his mouth and smiled. “Doesn’t matter. If it’s not, it will be.

With that, Killian clapped Brandon on the shoulder, turned, and went to find Leonel.

“You want to marry Willa?” Leonel was stunned for only a second before he smiled. “That’s good news!”

“Willa’s pregnant? Well, that’s wonderful news! Don’t worry. As long as the child she has is yours, then everything she and the kid need until the child turns ten is on me!” Leonel slapped him on the shoulder, delighted. “I’m truly happy for you. You’ve finally got a line of your own.”

Killian couldn’t hold back the grin on his face. “Thank you, Mr. Wright.”

“You all handed me your lives and followed me here without a second thought. If I don’t treat you well, then what kind of man would that make me?” Leonel said, sincerity all over his face. “And it’s not just you. It goes for everyone. In this shitty apocalypse, we’re brothers. Brothers looking out for each other-isn’t that just how it should be?”

“Yeah Yeah Killian smiled for real this time. “I’ll get back to it.”

“Go on
