Chapter 74 Timothee Stark

Autumn and Leonel traded a look and smiled.

Both of them carried the same ruthless streak inside.

Bundled tight against the cold, Autumn and Leonel brought a dozen or so people along, fitted the truck tires with snow chains, and drove toward the shelter in a large cargo truck.

Travel had been miserable during the rains, but the frozen ground had opened everything up now.

Roads didn’t really exist anymore.

If it was frozen solid, one could drive on it.

Passing a high-rise residential complex, they spotted several army green trucks handing out supplies to a line of survivors.

A handful of young soldiers, wrapped in thick coats, shivered nonstop yet kept distributing goods stubbornly.

The line of people, meanwhile, looked half-starved, hollow-cheeked. Even layered in clothing, they still swayed from the cold.

Just as Leonel’s truck rolled past them, someone burst from the crowd, dropped to their knees in front of the vehicle, and sobbed. “Mister, buy me. Please. I can’t live like this anymore. Feed me, and I’ll do anything you ask.”

The truck slammed to a stop just in time, barely avoiding him.

The driver glanced back at Leonel. “What now?”

“Turn around,” Leonel said, not even lifting his head.

The truck had barely started moving again when more people rushed forward, trying to block it.

Someone on a nearby army green truck shouted in alarm, “Stop them! Hurry, stop them!”

The young soldiers had to abandon distribution and dash over to restrain the people throwing themselves recklessly at the truck.

With fewer guards watching the supplies, some still standing in line let vicious looks flash across their faces. In an instant, they scattered, grabbing whatever they could and bolting.

“Everyone, move! Grab the supplies! Those bastards are all rosy cheeked and well fed off our tax money. while we’re out here starving and freezing!”

“Yeah’ Why’s it rationed by ID quota? So many are dead. Who’s claiming their share now? Corrupt officials pocketed it, that’s who””

The once orderly line spiraled instantly out of control.

Several young soldiers got shoved flat to the ground, their weapons ripped straight from their hands,

Nobody knew who fired the first shot, but chaos exploded right after.

A massive chunk of supplies on the trucks vanished in the looting.

Plenty of people had their skulls cracked open in the scramble. Barely any blood managed to flow before it froze solid, leaving the whole scene looking horrifying.

As for those who’d blocked Leonel’s truck earlier, the moment they spotted others looting, they abandoned the truck and rushed to join in.

Total chaos everywhere.

Suddenly, Autumn drew an M700, aimed at a man savagely beating one of the young soldiers, and pulled the trigger.

Bang!

Blood sprayed into the air.
