Reborn Cave Queen of the End Times novel Chapter 82

Chapter 82 No Humanity Left

The moment he finished speaking, someone ladled three bowls of soup from the pot and brought them over.

Beckett was about to reach out and take one when Autumn tilted her head and quickly whispered in his ear, “Take a good look. What exactly are they cooking in that pot?”

Beckett was tall and had sharp eyesight. With just one glance, he saw it.

“Ugh!” He couldn’t hold it in. He turned around and started gagging.

Others might not know, but after serving in the military for years, how could he not recognize it?

Inside the pot was a human skeleton.

Leonel wasn’t doing any better. He crouched beside Beckett and started vomiting violently.

Seeing their reaction, the leader’s smile faded slightly. He asked coldly, “Are you trying to disrespect me? This soup is your initiation. Drink it, and you’ll become one of us.”

A faint smile appeared on Autumn’s lips. “Then we’ll pass. People with different beliefs can’t walk the same path. Goodbye.”

Autumn grabbed Beckett and Leonel and turned to leave. But they had only taken a few steps when they heard the sound of guns being loaded.

When they looked up, dark gun barrels were already aimed straight at them.

“Looks like the three of you have chosen the hard way!” the leader said coldly. “Take them away! Since they refuse to cooperate, pick one of them and throw them into the pot tomorrow.”

Leonel wiped the corner of his mouth. His eyes turned cold as he stared at the leader. “You people are really bold. You’re openly eating humans this close to the shelter.”

The leader let out a mocking laugh. “Those higher-ups are too busy trying to save themselves. They don’t have the time to care about me. Once you step onto my territory, you have only two choices: become my followers, or become my food. There is no third option.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the people who had been staring at the pot immediately turned around and locked their eyes on Autumn’s group.

A strange, bloodthirsty look flashed in their eyes.

They weren’t looking at them like people. They were looking at them like food.

Some of them even started drooling as they stared at Beckett’s tall, muscular body.

Autumn immediately raised both hands. “Let us discuss this.”

Take them to the dungeon! If they still refuse to submit by tomorrow morning, they’ll become food,” the leader said coldly.

The armed men immediately shoved Autumn roughly.

She went with the force and took two steps forward.

When she saw that Beckett hadn’t moved, Autumn glanced back at him. His eyes were locked on the guns in their hands, and to her surprise, his eyes had turned red.
