Reborn Fake Heiress Watch the Whole Family Burn novel Chapter 12

“Get out! Get out! Get the hell out!” Dylan screamed like a madman.

The caretaker snorted.

“Tch! If the pay wasn't so high, you think I'd be here? I wouldn't step foot in this dump. You crippled waste of space!”

As the woman stormed out, she ran straight into Elena and Amanda.

“Who are you looking for?” the woman demanded.

Amanda stepped forward. “Ma’am, we’re here to see the young master of the Sinclair family.”

The cripple has friends? The woman found it odd. She had been working here for a year and no one had ever visited Dylan.

“Who are you? What do you want with him?” she asked guardedly.

“He is my daughter's fiancé. We've come to visit.”

The woman had heard the rumors. She looked at Elena, thinking it a pity that such a pretty girl was ruined by such an engagement.

“Go on in,” the woman said indifferently.

As soon as Elena and Amanda entered the room, they were hit by a wall of stench. It was thick and nauseating.

Amanda instinctively covered her nose. “Why does it smell so bad?”

Her husband was paralyzed too, but she washed him and changed him constantly. Their room never smelled like this.

“Get out! Get out! I told you to get out!” Dylan’s hoarse roaring resumed, assuming the caretaker had returned.

Amanda jumped. “Lord have mercy, his temper... it’s not great, is it?” she whispered, frightened.

Elena, however, remained calm.

She walked over and looked at the man on the bed.

He was gaunt, his cheeks sunken, looking like nothing more than skin draped over bone. His hair was matted and long, clearly untouched for months. He looked feral.

Judging by the volume of his rage, his lungs were at least functioning well.

That venomous woman and the girl standing before him were two completely different people.

“It’s like this, Mr. Sinclair. The one before was... a mistake. There was a mix-up at birth. Emily has gone back to her biological parents. The Elena you see now is our true daughter. So, the person actually engaged to you is her.”

Dylan stared at them.

He had no interest in their soap opera drama.

“Speak. What do you want? Here to warn me? Tell me to break the engagement and stop dreaming?”

Elena looked him in the eye and spoke plainly. “I’m here to save you.”

Save me?

Before Dylan could process the words, Elena reached out and threw back his blanket.

“What are you doing?!” Dylan roared.

“Saving you. How can I fix you if I don't look at the damage?”
