Bianca gritted her teeth. She marched forward and delivered a vicious slap across Gloria’s face.
She put her whole body into it, the sound cracking through the room.
Half of Gloria’s face swelled up instantly, and blood trickled from the corner of her mouth.
“Bianca! You dare hit me?!” Gloria’s eyes widened, looking as if she wanted to tear Bianca apart.
“You can hit me, but I can’t hit you? Who made up that rule?” Bianca retorted smugly.
Gloria was furious, but her hired muscle was currently writhing on the floor. She had no one to back her up.
“How about this? Since you two are sisters, let’s shake hands and make peace. Gloria, you just get on your knees and apologize to her, and we’ll forget this ever happened!”
“No! Why should I kneel to her? She doesn’t deserve it!” Gloria shouted immediately.
She had been spoiled since childhood, a proud little princess. Besides, she and Bianca had always been like oil and water.
“I say she deserves it,” Elena said coolly.
“Hmph! I will never apologize. Elena, you humiliate me today, and I swear I won’t let you get away with it!”
“Oh? Are you threatening me now?”
Elena turned and walked into the kitchen. She came back out holding a kitchen knife.
“What… what are you doing?”
*Aaagh!!!!*
Before Gloria could finish her sentence, a bloodcurdling scream filled the air.
Elena had moved with terrifying precision, slicing cleanly through one of the bodyguard’s fingers.
Gloria’s eyes bulged, and she began to shake uncontrollably.
Even Bianca frowned, her stomach tightening at the sight.
Elena acted as if nothing had happened. She picked up the severed, bloody finger from the floor and held it right in front of Gloria’s face.
“Ah!! Don’t come near me! Get away! Sob… sob…” Gloria broke down, crying in terror.
“Look at this. It’s a nice finger, isn’t it? But no matter how nice it is, it’s not as pretty as a wealthy young lady’s finger! How about you contribute a few of yours?”
This time, no one had to teach her. Gloria started kowtowing on her own.
Compared to her fingers, her dignity meant nothing. That was just too terrifying.
Bianca finally found her voice. “Get out. I never want to see you again!”
Gloria started to scramble away, but Elena spoke again. “Hold on. You’re leaving just like that?”
Gloria looked at her with pure fear. “What… what else do you want? I… I already knelt and apologized.”
“At the very least, you need to find someone to restore this apartment. You trashed the place—how is anyone supposed to live here? Do you expect me to clean it up?”
Gloria understood immediately. She quickly made a call to have a crew come over to clean up the mess and repair the damage.
She also ordered a whole new set of furniture to replace what had been broken and paid for the floors to be professionally cleaned.
“Miss Whelan… are… are you satisfied now?” Gloria asked cautiously.
Before, she had looked down on Elena. Now, seeing her was like a mouse seeing a cat.
“That works. But let me tell you one last thing. In the future, don’t bring people over to bully Bianca again. If I find out you’ve touched her, I don’t care where you are—I will come find you, chop off your fingers, and carve up your face. Do I make myself clear?”
