REBORN My Second Life I Became The Villianess novel Nysa and Dario Valteri Chapter 49

Morning came too fast, sunlight was cutting through the glass of the bedroom window, I was sitting at the corner desk. The laptop screen was casting a steady blue glow over my face as I reviewed the drafts of the restructuring documents for Vexari Global.

Before finalizing the files, I opened the secure messaging ap to touch base wit Leo and Chloe

Nyxara: The execution phase is this morning. Forty percent voting share transfer is locked. We are securing the majority block.

Leo: Encryption protocols on the new database are holding. Ready to ingest the Vexari subsidiary logs into Ciphercore the second you sign the dotted line .

Chloe: Board members are already sweating. I have three separate sources asking if the rumors about your appointment are true. Let me know when to drop the first wave of piece.

.

A cold satisfaction settled in my chest. I tapped out a brief acknowledgment to both of them, locking the chat window before closing the lid of the laptop. Downstairs, the legal team had already arrived to formalize the handover.

I paused in front of the full-length mirror, smoothing the fabric of my muted gray sweater and adjusting my posture. When I stepped out of that room, I had to project absolute compliance, the quiet, unassuming daughter caught in the crossfire of a family feud. To my father, I was simply enduring the fallout of Nysa's spectacular self-destruction. To the corporate world, I was about to become the primary shareholder of Vexari Global.

I headed down the grand staircase and walked into the livingroom. My father was sitting on the main couch , while a corporate counsel attorney packed crisp paper documents back into a leather briefcase. My mother, was sitting rigidly on the far sofa, her expression was tight and hostile.

"Ah, Nyxara, have a seat," my father said, his voice instantly dropping its harsh edge as he looked up.

"Good morning, Father," I replied, keeping my tone quiet and measured. I kept my hands folded neatly over one another as I approached the desk.

The attorney closed his briefcase with a sharp click and turned to me. "Miss Vexari. The transaction is complete. The forty percent shares transfer for Vexari Global is officially logged, witnessed, and filed with the state registry. You hold the controlling block alongside your father." he said.

I offered a modest, reluctant nod, playing the part of the dutiful heiress who accepted power only out of necessity. "Thank you. I only hope I can maintain stability for the company during such a difficult transition." I said softly.

My mother let out an audible, bitter scoff from across the room, crossing her arms defensively. "Stability? Since you returned yoou have done nothing but take everything that belongs to your sister and destroyed her entire future overnight." she said.

"That is enough," my father barked, cutting her off with a sharp glare. He didn't dignify her outburst with further debate, turning immediately back to me with a reassuring look. "Pay no attention to her, honey. You earned this position through restraint and competence. Furthermore, Elena Valteri called the house earlier. She is sending a private vehicle over to take your personal belongings to the Valteri estate." he said.

I kept my face calm, letting only a flicker of polite surprise show on my features. "Understood, Father. I will finish packing my luggage immediately." I replied softly.

"Good girl," he murmured, offering a faint smile.

Before I could turn toward to head back upstairs, the chime of the foyer entrance echoed softly through the hall, followed by the measured click of heels. Elena Valteri walked into the livingroom with effortless authority. She was wearing a tailored cream overcoat, her pinned back with severe elegance, commanding the room without raising her voice.

"Carlton, Caroline," Elena greeted smoothly, her dark eyes shifting instantly to me. The sharp lines of her face softened into genuine warmth. "And there is my future daughter-in-law."

My father stood quickly, extending a hand in greeting. "Elena. There was no need for you to make the trip out here personally." he said.

"I wanted to," she replied, stepping past him to pull me into a brief, measured hug. Her coat carried the faint scent of amber and high-end coffee. "Given the spectacular disaster your eldest daughter caused yesterday, I wanted to ensure the household was treating you properly. I am here to make sure she moves into our home stress free. Our residence is expansive, but the domestic staff has already prepared your private quarters to your exact specifications." she said.

"Thank you, Elena," I said softly, lowering my gaze just enough to convey appropriate deference. "I am grateful for your consideration."

"Naturally, darling," she said, patting my arm lightly. "Take your time gathering your belongings. The vehicle is waiting at the at the front steps whenever you are prepared."
