Rejected by Her Mate Claimed by Four Alphas novel Chapter 94

CHAPTER 84

Alpha Darius’s POV

A loud knock came again.

I growled low, my wolf furious at the interruption. Clara was beneath me, breathing hard, her body still trembling from everything we had just done.

What?I barked toward the door, not moving from where I was.

Alpha,” came Xander’s urgent voice through the wood. You need to come immediately.

I’m busy.

It’s about Alpha Killian.

I stilled. Clara’s eyes met mine, and I could see the concern already building there.

What about him?I called back, irritation clear in my voice.

His condition worsened. He’s having a seizure.

The words hit me like cold water. I pulled back from Clara immediately, my arousal dying instantly.

Seizures were rare in werewolves. Almost impossible, actually. Our healing abilities and strong

constitution made such things nearly unheard of.

When werewolves had seizures, it usually meant they were dying.

I got up from the bed and started dressing quickly, pulling on my clothes with sharp, angry

movements.

Clara was already sitting up, reaching for her torn clothing. The sight of her trying to cover herself with the shredded fabric only reminded me of what had been interrupted.

I walked over to where she was struggling with her destroyed shirt and pushed her back against the wall. My hands captured her wrists, pinning them above her head in one smooth motion.

The bastard just had to ruin our fun,I said, my voice rough with frustration.

Clara’s breathing quickened at my proximity, her body responding to my dominance even in this

situation.

I leaned in closer, my mouth right against her ear. Once he’s gone,I whispered, my voice low and full of promise, I’ll fuck you so hard that you won’t be able to walk for weeks. And that’s a

promise.

I felt her body shiver at my words, saw the way her pupils dilated and her breathing became shallow. Even angry and interrupted as I was, watching her reaction gave me pleasure. Her body wanted me, craved me, and knowing that satisfied something deep in my wolf.

Get dressed,I told her, releasing her wrists. We need to go.

Without sparing another second, I finished pulling on my shirt and headed for the door. Xander was waiting in the hallway, his face grim.

How bad?I asked as we walked quickly toward the infirmary.

Bad enough that Dr. Hayes called for you immediately.

We reached the hospital wing in minutes. As soon as I approached Killian’s room, Dr. Hayes and Xander moved to intercept me.

Alpha, perhaps it would be better if you waited outside,Dr. Hayes said carefully. The patient is in a very delicate state.

Xander stepped closer as well. We should let the medical team handle this situation.

The implication was clear. They thought I had some kind of dubious plan regarding Killian’s

condition. They were trying to protect him from me.

My wolf snarled at their presumption.

I moved faster than they expected, my hands shooting out to grab both of them by the throat. I lifted them off the ground easily, their feet dangling as they struggled against my grip.

Let me remind you of something,” I said, my voice deadly calm. I am your Alpha. You do not tell me where I can and cannot go in my own territory.

Both men clawed at my hands, gasping for air.

You do not question my decisions or my motives,I continued. And you certainly do not try to stop me from doing what I see fit.

I squeezed harder for a moment, making sure they understood, then flung them both to the side. They hit the wall hard and slumped to the floor, coughing and gasping.

Remember your place,I said coldly, stepping over them to enter Killian’s room.

The sight that greeted me was genuinely concerning. Killian was unconscious on the hospital bed, his face completely pale and covered in sweat. Monitoring equipment beeped erratically around him, and I could see the aftermath of whatever medical intervention had been necessary.

I walked over to the chart hanging at the foot of his bed and read through it myself. The medical

notes confirmed everything Xander had told me.

Seizure activity. Severe neurological distress. Critical condition.

With the medical knowledge I had gained from helping during wars and pack attacks over the years, I could tell this wasn’t something that could be faked. Killian’s condition was real and

serious.

I sighed, some of my anger deflating. Whatever I thought of Killian personally, I didn’t actually want him to die.

What happened?I asked Dr. Hayes, who had recovered enough to stand up.

Dr. Hayes approached cautiously, still rubbing his throat. He woke up about an hour after you left.

He was agitated, asking for Clara. When we told him she wasn’t available, he tried to get out of

bed.

And?

His injuries were too severe for that kind of movement. We tried to sedate him to prevent him from tearing his stitches, but he fought the medication. The seizure started during the struggle.

I nodded grimly. It made sense. Killian’s body had been through significant trauma from the rock slide, and then the stress of fighting against medical restraints had pushed his system over the

edge.
