Rejected Heiress, Reigning Queen novel Chapter 140

Emma had just left the arena and was dialing Carter's number when a massive crowd suddenly swarmed the exits.

She instinctively tried to step aside to avoid the crush of people, but quickly realized they were zeroing in on her.

Emma immediately slammed the panic button in her bag to alert her bodyguards, but there were simply too many people pressing in.

"Damn, this bitch knows how to fight."

Someone cursed from the crowd. Emma braced herself to strike again, but a blinding pain erupted in her shoulder. A second later, a cloth was clamped firmly over her mouth and nose from behind, and her world went black.

Carter raced to the scene the absolute second the alert went off.

"Boss, all our men in this sector were pulled away by Uncle Raymond," Jeff reported frantically, failing to reach the security teams.

Carter's eyes turned lethal.

"Take this and get out."

Carter tossed his phone to Jeff, who bolted out of the car without wasting a single second.

They immediately switched to communicating via Jeff's earpiece.

"Find Julian and Travis immediately."

Carter slammed on the gas, his eyes burning with a murderous rage as he tailed the black van tearing down the street.

Emma was tossed into the backseat of the van. When she finally came to, her wrists and ankles were bound tight, her mouth was gagged, and a blindfold covered her eyes.

Despite the excruciating pain throbbing in her shoulder, she didn't twitch a single muscle.

"Fuck, our guys got busted. Who the hell is this chick? She travels with a dozen mercenaries, and she hits like a truck. My ribs are still killing me."

The guy in the passenger seat groaned. The driver scoffed, "Who cares? We bagged her. The boss will bail the others out. Nothing to sweat."

"Man, she is seriously gorgeous. That body is insane, way hotter than those A-list celebrities. We should pull over and—hehe."
