The event staff immediately checked Gillian's invitation, only to discover it was the most exclusive pass they offered. There was no mistake.

It bore no name, only solid gold lettering, signifying the elite status of a VIP member while protecting the guest's privacy.

"Ms. Lockwood, this invitation is—"

"I don't know! Your staff brought me here, so go ask your own people."

The employee had intended to ask if Emma had given it to her, but Gillian had no patience to listen. Feigning ignorance, she swiftly cut him off and shifted the blame onto the venue's staff.

Seeing the employee about to be reprimanded, Emma, who had been watching the spectacle, stood up and walked over.

"I lost my invitation before entering the exhibition hall. I figured it wouldn't be a big deal to go without it, so I didn't bother looking. I certainly didn't expect it to end up in your hands."

Emma strolled over and casually plucked the invitation from Gillian's grasp.

Gillian's face drained of color.

"Emma, you did this on purpose, didn't you? Why didn't you say the invitation was yours when we were outside? You just wanted to see Gillian humiliate herself, right?"

Tristan hurried over to defend his sister.

Emma let out a low chuckle, as if she had just heard the funniest joke in the world.

"It is pretty hilarious, actually. I never expected that someone who 'found' another person's invitation would boldly claim it as her own."

Gillian's face flushed with a mix of embarrassment and rage. The crowd that had gathered outside was now whispering amongst themselves.

The indistinct murmurs made her burn with humiliation. She glared resentfully at Emma. "That car belongs to our family anyway! You used Lockwood money to secretly buy a luxury sports car!"

"If that's what you think, then bring me the bank statement for the millions of dollars, and I'll transfer the title to you right now."

Emma finished speaking and turned her gaze to Tristan. "Then Tristan wouldn't have to sell his own car for cash."
