Isabella didn’t hesitate–she rushed toward the child, but the two bodyguards held her back effortlessly. Even the maid tried to step in, only to be shoved aside.

Skyler’s small hand stretched out desperately toward his mother, fingers straining, but no matter how hard she fought, she couldn’t reach him.
